Wednesday's Glass Box.
The Glass Box is where the PM team meets in at 18.00 every weeknight to discuss the content of the programme.
We try to be honest with each other, but not hurtful, as we talk about what worked and what didn't...what met our expectations and what fell short.
This virtual glass box is where you're encouraged to take part in the same spirit. PM's editor Eloise Twisk will read your comments and may well add her own.

Nice side-handled baton! Do I detect a police theme?

Listening most of the day to BBC I feel upset that the reportage of the France/ Dover Fishermen strike has just focused on those waiting at the port. Though of course this is newsworthy, and I don't want to sound dismissive of the travellers' plight, I wonder why we cannot be given some insightful news about the fishermen's grievence. It really annoys me that the BBC is in a peculiar UK bubble rarely letting us know what goes on in EU with ordinary folk - and always ready to join in with 'French bashing' when it gets the chance. It may just be possible that the fishermen have a justified case that could be interesting to report to UK listeners.

An important point. Very important.
Police Officers too, are entitled to personal space. Even within a demonstration.

Well, thank goodness, it's nice to know that it is OK to hit someone with a baton as long as it is on the upper arm or leg!
Charlie 6, They will be living with Jack Tweed.

Operation Stack.
You have reported at length on the effect of the French port blockade on travelers.
How about mentioning the long suffering residents of Kent.
Every time Stack is activated it causes considerable inconvenience to all the residents and businesses withing 15 miles either side of the M20.
Not only that but WE have to pay for it. The whole cost of Stack is paid for by the council tax and business rates of Kent.

Why such a limited section?
I gave-up on the French after Agincourt.
And, by-and-large, I believe I've been proved right...

Still living at home with the parents;
Don't all those Les Dawson Mother-In-Law jokes come to mind.
Then again;
What this family are doing is quite normal in many households in our country. Only, they are of a certain cultural background.

It may be time for the police, politicians and public figures to begin the day with a new mantra:
Every step you take, every arm you break, will be watched on YouTube by the entire planet;
Every insider e-mail with dirty dealings will be all over the Internet within hours;
Every off-colour "private" discussion will be leaked to the media and published...
Those who have not yet woken up to the monumental changes in access to information will learn the hard way.
Sometimes, as with the baton nasty, I feel so grateful for the sheer undeniability of the evidence, I could cry...

Only caught the first 15mins of the programme but wante dto say that I thought the interview with the ex-policeman was very good, interesting and informative. It was nice to hear a clear viewpoint which brings a little clarity to the situation we're hearing about.
