Nominate someone for an award!
(The Queen. Not in any way involved with this project.)
Nominate someone for an iPM New Year's Honour!
As you know, iPM is the programme that starts with its listeners. Their ideas and suggestions are what make our programme. This Christmas we're taking that one stage further.
We want to know who YOU would nominate for an iPM New Year's Honour. Ideally, someone who's not well known...they're covered in the official New Year's list. We want to hear about someone YOU know who deserves wider recognition.
Just email us their details and yours, and tell us why you want to nominate them. Our email address is iPM@bbc.co.uk. Please put HONOUR in the subject line. You'll need to make your nomination by midnight on Sunday 28th December.
There's no prize: just the honour of iPM making a fuss over the winning nominee. The iPM production team will choose from the names put forward and its decision will be final. No arguing!
That email address again: ipm@bbc.co.uk

It is still Hugh Sykes that I nominate.
Sorry. You'll just have to find a way around the paperwork, Eddie!

Tacky Christmas. No arguing?
I have decided who deserves a nomination for said Award but cannot risk her NOT being chosen.
She has to win, Eddie and there will be a prize. Or else.
So sorry. Cannot risk other minds making the choice. Your lot will have to chose A N Other. My shooh Inn has just been taken out of the Stalls.
Withdrawn and I.

Makes you think that this isn't a very popular idea, innit?

I'd like to nominate two people:
01. Andy Williamson was on kidney dialysis. His friend Maff Potts donated one of his kidneys.
So, Maff Potts does it for me. Brave and selfless!
02. Hilda Gibson: Land Girl
I've chosen Hilda for what she and ALL "Land Girls" did for "us" during an appalling time in our history.

Oh, and some more suggestions; "Group" nominations:
The patients (their family's and carers) who have had the courage to use the "Dignits Clinic" in Zurich and the staff of "Dignity in Dying" in the UK, who are doing so much to bring humane rights to the UK.

Charlie @ 5, yes.
But surely, everyone nominated is certain to be 'known' if they have been on PM or iPM, and thus not eligible according to Eddie's thing above where he says ' Ideally, someone who's not well known...they're covered in the official New Year's list. We want to hear about someone YOU know who deserves wider recognition. '
So I would like to nominate my postman, who spriints about his round wearing shorts -- but I don't know his name, and he never seems to stop for long enough for me to catch him and ask him.

What makes you think anyone, or everyone, who's mentioned on PM is "known", or "well known"? It's only you me and "one-other" who listen...

Oh, for a moment I thought that might be Vera. Where's Jack?

I would nominate someone, but I know the winner will be someone chosen by one of the beach bunnies clique. I know how the BBC works.
