GM - mpb sent in her "news" to iPM last week. And it was read out, because I heard it. When I was remonstrating with her about something or other at breakfast today, along the lines of "I know this because I AM your mother" she sweetly said "May I remind you I divorced you last week?".
However, following the purchase of a chocolate Advent calendar at the supermarket tonight, I believe we may be un-divorced!
Does anyone recognise the piece being played? It sounds vaguely Debussy-like, but being more familiar with piano works than harp tracks, I can't be sure...
jonnie! Shame on you. Apron down under, indeed. Us gurlz don't get them [sudden coughing fit].
I'd like to thank Annasee and Eddie, because I do enjoy harp music and I also enjoy a harpist in apron/pinny/wotevva playing.
They weren't always seen as 'posh', for want of a better word, were they? I'm sure I've read/heard stories of itinerant Welsh and Scots harpists, and there must be Irish ones, too.
Plus there's the harp in the folk song 'Binnorie', which tells the story of a murder.
And, to complete the picture, Lynda Snell needs a talking harp for her 'The Archers' pantomime.
If she gets the one from Binnorie, there will be worse than tears before bedtime.

Thanks Eddie. Now if I only had an audition I needed to send in a video for...

Of course, Eddie's rubric should read:
Annasee in sound and apron.
It's lovely, Annasee. I'm sure you don't need an audition video.

Can the PM bloggers' Calender be far behind?
Complain about this comment
Nice one annasee!
Re the PM calender...can I be the one fondling a Minier's Dumpling
behind the cider press?
Complain about this comment
I suggest that you music lovers look at youtube cameron carpenter playing stars and stripes forever on the organ.
Complain about this comment
DIW;
That depends on whether A Minier minds have their dumpling fondled..... either behind the cider press or elsewhere.

Simon thinks - as I do it's wonderful - however he did ask:-
Are you wearing a pinafore (otherwise possibly known as an Apron down under)
;-)

Lovely Annasee.

Wait a minute - perhaps "Lovely, Annasee" was what I meant. Not that she isn't of course.....

Fifi 18, I believe it is in Trinity Church Wall Street in Manhattan. I don't look at organs that closely. Snicker...

F_O 22, My niece's daughter plays the harp and they live in Missouri. Nothing very posh about that.
Complain about this comment
jonnie 21, Her apron is on top, not down under. That's why we can see it.
