Davies Week Day Two: Huw Davies.
Huw is from Natural England and was nominated for Davies Week by Regina Enayati: "I think you should interview someone called Huw Davis. He sent me an email the other day telling me why it is so good for me to do more walking even though I walk 6 dogs 3 times a day already. But all is forgiven, he is one of our senior managers for Natural England in the Newcastle office"

After last night "Davies" what a disappointment tonight.
Their Natural England web page starts off with the fear, more fear and children bashing.
I have previously shown that even the BBC discussion threads have children that are being affected by this continued attach on them.
I am obese by the measurements they use. I however walk every weekend between 10 and 20 miles. By any old calculations, like waist measurements 34" etc, I am not even overweight.
Please stop bashing on kids. If a child has a real problem then help them, but care for the others. BMI is not an absolute, it is a value that you should maintained through life. It is a change of BMI that is worrying.
As for our walking, it gives us more gains in the ability to think clearly than any physical health effects.

"I walk 6 dogs 3 times a day"
I have to ask - does Regina walk them or do they walk her? :)

Ha, ha, thanks Mittfh, cheeky monkey! You'd never know how much time and energy I spend walking and training my my rescue dogs! So, yep, they all get walked with manners and don't we all know it in this stinky weather! But getting out every day and looking at the countryside evryday at it changes through the seasons is an honour.
Really pleased Huw has done his bit, though it's never the same walking without a dog though is it? :-)))

Mrs. Eff: I'd be surprised if there weren't. Most Welsh choirs are bursting at the seams with Davies, and Evans, and Edwards, and Jenkins .....

Additional to 1 above it seems the BBC is having another go today in their long term bashing of kids.
The joke is that "Sir Liam Donaldson" is being quoted.
At least if I wear a tie it does not hang in free air. "It is never too late" to show an example. If he feels it is right for him to condemn me for a fictitious calculation, then I can condemn him for his internet photos. It is only fair.
But that is a fight between two adults. He however is targeting children like a big bully. Every word he speaks is heard by normal children. It is fit and stocky children that are getting letters labelling them as abnormal. He is doing more damage than he knows, as more and more parents fear taking their children to doctors or clinics. Why would they want a perfectly normal child to be labelled obese just because they are naturally outside the "perfect race" mandated by this government. To be short is not a crime, but then he is with holding medical care against my inability to fit in his "perfect race" which is a crime.
To have a equation that uses the square of a single body measurement is seen to be perfect sense to these people.
Google for "Sir Liam Donaldson launches new Medical Facility"
Look at the difference between the Sir Liam Donaldson and the man at the back. They are both the same height but why should their weights, and all others of that height, be within 20% mandated by BMI.
