Autumn from Fearless Fred.
"It was taken in the backstreets of Dublin mid afternoon on balmy October day about 8 years ago (if my memory serves me). I'd had a couple of pints of the black stuff, and thought I'd try for an "arty" shot...."

Just goes to show that the waters of the Liffey are good for you!

Now that has to have been taken with a film camera. I have 35 mm Pe**ax with which I could take such photos but I can't get the same quality with a digital SLR camera. Any tips from the camera buffs amongst you?

Was that before the street cleaners were equipped with those marvelous vacuum cleaners?
Aren't autumn leaves the very devil!
So slippery when wet.

Fearless,
A GREAT photo!
But, admit it. You were as drunk-as-a-monkey and going-down when you "took" it..!

Ahh, to be sure, Fearless made it through.
Well done, Eddie!

Ffred - well worth the wait, lovely photo.

pmL @3, the ones they have round here aren't exactly vacuum cleaners, because they don't suck, they blow. So the leaves are 'cleared' from where they were and pushed to somewhere else. I often wonder just why they bother, really.

Lovely Fred ;-)
But that wasn't the first one you sent to Eddie that he rejected was it ?
Re: Chris and PML
I've had a B and D one and currently a Flymo that sucks and blows - but the vacuuming side on both of them has been useless!
I've worded this as best as I can to keep the post here ;-)

Has everyone got their camera's primed for later on ?
I dare say poor Eddie and the team are preparing material as I type.

Jonnie - good wording, it's still here.

RJM 2, It would be interesting to know how many photos sent in were taken with an SLR (film) or a digital camera. Mine were taken with a digital because of the ease in attaching it to the computer to send the photo. I have a very good Olymp*s OM 1 which I never use any more.

pmL 3, Yeah, you old folk have to be careful when walking on slippery leaves.

DMcN (several) yes, but did a pig come up and lie down by your side?
Complain about this comment
Well, I guess that's it for the photos. And I wasted a lot of film....
Complain about this comment
Maybe that was the problem, David - Emailing film is always tricky ....

BS 28, I wondered why A*L was so slow sending my emails this morning.
