Autumn....
Starting off this final big batch of photos: " I took this from my front door yesterday afternoon. Have a nice day !! John" - Oct 29.
"This picture was taken on Monday 27th; it is of the River Findhorn at near Ardclach in the county of Moray. Jennifer Farquharson"
"Here's an autumnal picture I took in Stockholm Sweden at the weekend...drier, colder and bursting with colour. Jonathan Marks. PM listener in Holland, thanks to wifi radio and longwave."
"Red Deer Stag in Richmond Park, London on 18 October. What a glorious sunny day and the autumn colours brought to life. Keith Dunning from West Sussex."
Sent to us last Wednesday: "Dear Eddie and Team, These pictures were taken on a balmy afternoon last Friday at Bodnant Gardens in the beautiful Conwy Valley, North Wales. A very special place for me in that my mother worked in the house as a nanny during part of WW2. Regards, Richard Clinton"

Also sent last Wednesday, by Jane and Victor Russell - "Autumn - today in Mullyknock, Co. Fermanagh"

Similarly from the same day: "Taken when winter surprised us on Wednesday morning. Jackie Luben"

"Is this too late? Taken in my Mum's garden this morning - heavy frost, light dusting of
snow & a power cut! GMx"
"River Stour, Dedham , Essex I took this picture yesterday." From Sara Panizza last Thursday.

"Autumn in the Caymans" - from Stephanie J. Belovich. Looks awful, Stephanie.
And this came to us from Chris Doherty. Thank you Chris.

"Dear Eddie - Autumn seemed to happen a little earlier in the Czech Republic. This picture was taken a month ago from my hotel window on the outskirts of Prague. Best wishes, Patricia Burns"

Back on Friday we got this: "Dear Eddie. These pictures show the autumn colours on our tour of the vineyards of Switzerland and France just last week. They include Lake Geneva, Chablis and Burgundy - the wine was just as good as the colours - hic!
Elizabeth and Derek McManus, North Yorkshire". They are beautiful Elizabeth and Derek. But where the hell is the free wine for us all?!
Also sent on Friday: "Dear Eddie and team, I went to Chatsworth House yesterday to see the Sothebys' sculptures in the gardens, but thought this view better than any of the sculptures. Regards, Rob"
And on Monday we were sent this by Caroline Jamison: "Unlike others I have been stuck indoors preparing for an important OXFAM OXHIBITION next week so my photo is a fun one especially for today only. I am off to Stourhead one day this week, can't wait, promise." OK Caroline. It's Thursday. Where's our photo?
As I say for Caroline, and anyone else who's been meaning to get round to sending, we are still open for business for autumn snaps...I will try to post them as they come in. But that's the last BIG posting.
Now we have to stand by for Christmas...

Stephanie J Belovich, STEPHANIE J BELOVICH!!! Hey, I worked with a Stephanie J Belovich in the Archaeology Dept. at The Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Could this be the same Stephanie J Belovich? I think I should be told!! Nah, she'd be 80 by now and couldn't make it to the Caymans.

What's the next challenge then?

Molly 10, It would appear that the next challenge would be for you to get a photo on the blog. Unless I missed it, that is.

DMcN - that's a bit ageist ain't it? Why shouldn't she go to the Cayman Islands in her 80s? I shall.

Re the caption for Elizabeth and Derek: careful, Eddie. Strange things are afoot in the twilight world of the froggers.............

VP 12, It really is my friend Steph. She is considerably younger than 80. She is even younger than I am. I told her to send a photo.

Thanks for including my photo, Eddie, which is from Surrey, in case anyone wants to know. We're back to rain now.
All the photos are wonderful.

Thank you for posting mine!
I especially like the Stag and Vineyard photos - we should do a 2009 calendar!

Eddie, you would not like to see. My hair all sticky-uppy-and-outy and tousled and my comfy dressing-gown, not for public display on a site accessible to children and persons of a sensitive disposition.

VP 19, Oui. And Steph has never heard of PM or Eddie Mair. Or the BBC. Or radio. She was in the Caymans with associates for a business conference or so she says. She is sending the link Eddie sent her to the associates.
