How about 'What do we think of what he said?' or is that too much to ask of an Edgie Eddie Tittlebum suggested thread?
Jokes and photies only please.
Well one thing he might talk about is Thursday's huge climb in the FTSE and today's gains, again.
Naomi Klein says the US banks, benefiting from the 700 billion Bush bail out are using the money to buy assets they fancy rather than helping with jobs and homes.
With the £ low against the $ (in case that comes out as 'splodge against the square' I said 'pound against the dollar) are these climbs in London US bargain hunting?
In which case, Yankie Dollar Go Home, 'cos it's needed there and re- hyping hte FTSE is NOT what we need.
PML@26: The financial markets are so volatile at the moment there's probably little sense in making big headlines out of daily rises/falls, as over the following days/weeks, the various market indices will eventually find a new equilibrium.

"Nils Desperandum" would seem ideal*. It's latin for "Don't despair" or more literally "Keep your chin up!", appropriate in these challenging times
* Only a pedant would point out that the actual Latin is "nil desperandum"

Re 7 above. When I wrote "more literally", I think I meant "more colloquially". I think.
