If you eat all those I suspect you will get a good run for your money. You'll be "speed dating".

    Yum. Lucky us.

Glad to have Hugh back safe and sound.

I'm curious about the pretty china piggy bank - swear box?

Rachel G - Never mind that - do you like the way Eric has casually photgraphed the dates atop a copy of the Financial Times? He probably thinks that we will all assume he reads it!

Plain English Campaign love dates like these fumigated, smoked, puffed or otherwise - thank you Eddie - the diversity of our language reaches all corners of the globe.

MORE dates? Though the 'fumigated' bit is amusing ... I hope they didn't use DDT, Eddie!

    Will Hugh speak to us?

    Best wishes to him, anyway.

RachelG: That was the piglet that Paddy was threatening on the 29 Sept. Nice to see one bank survived the credit crunch unscathed.

Yum - fumigated dates, my favourite variety. I expect that is to stop Hugh inadvertently importing a scorpion or two. I remember in N Z the imported fruit always used to be fumigated - I think they used bromide gas? I know we once took an old harp down to be fumigated by the department, to kill off a woodworm infestation. That was when we found out about them doing all the bananas. No residues, they said. Wonder if that's true?

Yummy fumigated dates what could be tastier.

I wonder if we could fumigate our politicians when they come back from there jollies abroad.

Is the piggy bank a wonderfully discreet reference to 'credit crunch'? These guys are witty - I can only suppose it must be.

    10. Perhaps Eddie is trying to give up smoking? The pig could be a conscience box. It's a rather ladylike pig, though, so perhaps Sequin has left it there for when she's on duty.

The encouraging thing, though, is that it is very small, so either Eddie/Sequin are very good, or very optimistic.
