Food.
Helmut Heib in Deptford tells us "the 4 English sausages were from Somerfield's "Healthy Choice" option (4 g of fat & 90 calories per sausage), with crispy (i.e. not over boiled) red cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, baby corn and half a tin of baked beans. The dessert was 250g of Yeo Valley fat free yoghurt and a chopped apple - I couldn't be bothered to stew any apple tonight, you know how it is! By the way, the picture of my evening meal is OK but I was so looking forward to eating it the picture quality isn't quite as good as the picture of the dessert which was easier to shoot because my stomach wasn't rumbling by that point."
From "Oiorpata": beans on toast.

Michael Murphy sheds light on "tea time in the Murphy household from Hull.
Quiche with salad, with a sneak look in the fridge for afters":
How many calories for this...asks Malcolm Townend.

This beancake and corn was sent from a 3 mobile phone. Can't find any other details...

Suzie Walker says: "well you did want to see what we're eating ..."
Robert Allen in Melksham sends these: "Here are pics of my dinner tonight. not absolutely typical for me, but this is day two, finishing off the steak I bought yesterday, as I had a mouthwatering desire for red meat.
Inspired I remember, as while driving home from work, listening to PM, the item on the dangers of washed salad got me thinking about buying some -and wondering what would accompany it. STEAK was my internal answer to that.
Health warnings obviously do not trouble me!"

"As requested - a photo of venison sausage, duchesse potatoes and fresh vegetables. Yum! Very best wishes from Gillian(ian)"
"Hi PM team, Enjoy listening to PM - been a R4 listener for many years. Felt I had to send my photo - to boost the R4 healthy eater numbers... Cheers, Murray"
"Rosie (aged 18 months) and I were just eating our tea when you requested pictures of our tea for PM, so although I had already eaten my pizza and peas, Rosie was still eating and so I have taken a quick snap for you. Perhaps not a particularly inspiring picture, but I think she's cute. All the best, Philippa, Cambridge"

Isn't it about time the BBC brought out a 'PM' cookbook, along the lines of the old 'Blue Peter' cookbook, based on listener submissions, to raise money for charity ??
We could even have an on-air argument about how to pronounce 'Mrs Wilkinson's Parsley Scone..'
I mean, come on - Christmas is around the corner..

There is something in common here.
Where are the Crunchy veg soups. Course stews. Heaps of real Onion gravy. Thai green Chilli style meals.
Everything seems so dry.
You can probably tell where I was dragged up.

Gillianian, that is so sweet! And what an artistic effort. You can tell a mum a mile off! I remember years ago (when mpb was about 3) putting olives and cheese on crackers, when we had friends visiting. The olives looked so much like eyes, I couldn't rest till I'd cut up tomatoes to make a mouth for each face. The friends had a little boy the same age so luckily they empathised with the urge to make faces with our food.
