Look!
Here's a line of 40 cars queueing for petrol. And a man topping up.

.... you have to guess which oil-rich country this is.
The prize is a copy of paragraph in the BBC guidelines that forbids competitions.
Hugh Sykes will be reporting from that country on Broadcasting House this weekend and on PM next week.

The flag on the numberplate appears to be Iranian.

"Is it the Edgware Road?"
You little devil, you.
Hugh,
I trust you are going to tell us why, in a country swimming on oil, there are 40 cars queuing at a petrol station. I strongly suspect it is not because the tanker drivers are on strike.

Dave (10) Did your Grandson confirm the quality? I hope you just cut and pasted rather than attempted any kind of embellishment

PMHugh: Thank you for your wonderful report this morning on Paddy's spot. I felt myself to be there, witnessing with you all the colourful and (for a non-Iranian) bemusing scenes of Teheran, and listening to its citizens as they told you their stories. It was magical.
I had a friend whose father was a government minister under the Shah - I never knew what happened to her after the revolution, though I hope she and her family survived. As befitted a modest muslim, she did not talk a great deal about her city, so it was of particular interest to me to hear your report and feel that, with you, I was able to partake of that colourful and interesting city. For you, of course, having lived there 45 years ago, your journey must be particularly special, and I'm really looking forward to your reports and, of course, the pictures!
Assalamu Alaykum

PMHugh (19): Looking forward to those - and to your further reports. And, a little request?, can we hear more of you, and your interviewers, speaking Farsi? I found that fascinating! :o)
