In the US and looking forward to Annie night

Pete Tong Pete Tong | 21:07 UK time, Tuesday, 7 September 2010

Very exciting show last Friday, great vibe off the back of the Bank Holiday Weekend and so much great music (its turning out to be a big year) and so many listeners participating and interacting with thoughts on all the festivals, love it when you do that!

I took a week off from Ibiza and as I write I'm over in the USA for Labour Day weekend, which is a massive holiday weekend over there. I started off @ the awesome Electric Zoo festival and then moved onto Miami and the Las Vegas!...

Back in the UK for the Annie Nightingale celebrations on Thursday night on Radio 1.

Annie is a true inspiration, having spanned an incredible four decades on the station, her uncompromising and relentless search for brilliant new music really sums up what being on BBC Radio for me is all about....and i really did listen to her on a hand held transistor radio in bed under the covers when I was a boy !

Congratulations Annie and I hope to see you on the 9th....

Musically I'm get hot under the collar about Olene Kadar, Tensnake (Round Table Knights Remix - this weeks essential new tune), Jamie Woon (shivers down the spine!) and Gareth Wyn !

Listen again for the real deal!
