Some links from a Londonist

Rob Hinchcliffe the editor of Londonist forwards a couple fo links. Firstly affirmation from a US court that in that jurisdiction at least bloggers aren't responsible for what people say in comments (that ruling doesn't apply here before you get any big ideas). This is an important ruling, caveat commenter.

Also interestingly Rob points to a post about why Londonist won't be taking place in the Metro's blog awards (Metro is a free London newspaper). Not sure whether I have a view one way or the other on that. My only observation would be that I'm sure some of the blogs nominated will probably exceed some parts of the printed press in readership numbers. Perhaps in a spirit of participation we need awards chosen by bloggers for the mainstream media?
