Pancake Day: flip and hope?
It's Shrove Tuesday so that can only mean one thing: Pancake making. However, being disabled can make this a tricky task. Beginning with pouring the flour and whisking. And that's before you even get to heating the mixture and flipping the pancake, whilst trying to keep it in one piece. The potential pitfalls are many, yet that doesn't seem to be putting us off.
Disabled blogger batsgirl has written a humorous blog post about getting her personal assistant boyfriend to do the job. Whilst a quick chat round the office reveals different approaches. Our blind editor Damon claims to be a master of the art though I am yet to see the evidence. Emma prefers the eating part to the cooking. For me it will be a team effort since my dexterity means flipping is hardly my forté.
Those of you having a go you can find recipes on the BBC Food website. Let us know your tips and how you get on in the comments.

LOL! Love the stories about your colleagues Gids! Damon seems to be quite skilled then doesnt he? LOL!
I'm going to cheat and use Aunt Bessie frozen pancakes , that way you dont have to make a batter and toss them, simple for disabled people, all you need is a microwave, lemons or Jif lemons in my case and sugar!

Evilstevie's my boyfriend, not a PA. I don't think a PA would put up with my batter-wrath, much less eat the results of my cooking attempts. :)

My cleaner turned up with pancakes today. That was easy, eh? ;-)

In the US, we don't do pancakes on Shrove Tues. In fact, our pancakes are seriously different than yours. And when I tell people here that you eat yours with lemon juice and sugar they think I'm making it up!
Anyway, I want to see video of Damon making pancakes!
Hope all had a flipping good pancake day, with enough successful pancakes to enjoy and enough spills to laugh about.
