The internet search engine that took the world by storm has now developed a new site that is designed to help visually impaired screenreader users find websites that are most usable.
Tap in your keywords and Google Accessible Search returns results based on how accessible the site is thus making the web an easier place to be.
course, we won't forget that Net-Guide beat them to it some time ago.

Very commendable maybe, its just such a shame that Google have used the dreaded graphic recognition for registering purposes which makes their services inaccessible to blind people.

I think Googles step is fantastic as it lists the most accessible sites first, giving an even stronger business case for websites to be accessible. Could you imagine if it did this for the standard search engines, then that would really make companies do more, but I suppose it does this already as the way the search engine robots work anyway it prefers text based alt taggged sites.
