Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you'll know that - for the FIRST TIME EVER - BBC Radio 6 Music is hosting its VERY OWN FESTIVAL. Yes, I'm SHOUTING as all of us at 6M Towers are VERY EXCITED INDEED. Now you’re hiding under a Rock n Roll…ahem.

The online world also went into overdrive when news of the big event, taking place in Manchester on the 28th Feb and 1st March, was announced this week by Shaun Keaveny and Mary Anne Hobbs. With more than 30 artists and DJs across three stages at Victoria Warehouse, the BBC Radio 6 Music Festival will bring together an unmissable line-up of artists with an alternative spirit.

So in celebration, Tom Robinson asks listeners to create their Ultimate 6 Music Festival Playlist - inspired by the incredible list of acts performing at the two-day event. From major established acts to potential future stars, the line-up reflects the wide range of artists you can hear on BBC Radio 6 Music every day.

So what should be on Sunday's playlist? You could pick:

* Music from those on the bill - Damon Alban, Franz Ferdinand, The National, Haim, latest Mercury Prize winner James Blake, Kelis, Metronomy, Bombay Bicycle Club, Groove Armada and Tim Burgess are just some of the 30 acts playing.

* How about tracks linked to any of the artists performing -  Blur, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Big Audio Dynamite, The Charlatans, Joy Division and Doves (work out the links by looking at the line-up here)?

* What about the Manchester connection? For example, got any memories of the Hacienda? Music synonymous with the city?

* OR any other weird and wonderful links you can make with any of the acts playing… the floor is yours.

Just don't forget to add the REASON behind why you've picked a track.

Tweet suggestions with the hashtag #6musicfestival, post on the Now Playing Facebook page, email 'nowplaying@bbc.co.uk’, or drag tracks onto the collaborative Spotify and Rdio playlists
