Ben Folds Five

This Sunday we have none other than Ben Folds taking control of Now Playing via Twitter - and he needs your help to pick the music.

There was a collective cheer when Ben Folds Five announced that were regrouping to make their first album together in 12 years. The result is The Sounds Of The Life Of The Mind which has been released this week and if you haven’t heard it in full yet, you will have certainly seen the amazing video for Do it Anyway featuring the Fraggles.

So Between 6-8pm on Sunday night on BBC Radio 6 Music, Ben Folds will be on Twitter controlling the station for two hours. He’s going to pick a few tracks which he loves to get the ball rolling but after that he wants your suggestions of what to play. You’ll be able to interact with him in real time on the night about what music he should play using #BenFolds56Music.

It could be:

* Your favourite Ben Folds or Ben Folds Five tracks
* People he’s collaborated from Regina Spektor to Ben Kweller or even William Shatner!
* The music he listened to when growing up – Elton John, Billy Joel etc
* Artists he’s covered like The Cure, Snoop Dogg or The Divine Comedy
*Other piano maestros

It’s up to you (and Ben) so let him know what you think he’ll like by leaving a comment on this blog or our Facebook page, drop us e-mail us, add a track to our collaborative Spotify playlist or Tweet using #BenFolds56Music.

If you a Ben Folds Five fan make sure you're listen to 6 Music at 6pm UK time on Sunday!
