Producer Will Producer Will | 20:00 UK time, Sunday, 8 April 2012

To kick off 6 Music Celebrates Dance Culture in April, our new Sunday time slot on BBC 6 Music, and the fact Dig Your Own Hole was 15 yesterday – we thought there’s no better way but to do a show built around the marvelous electronic big beats of The Chemical Brothers.

A lot of the show was built around Block Rockin’ Beats, but we also ventured into hip hop and some of the UKs most beloved pop bands of the past.

We began the show rounding up some of the biggest online music stories of the past seven days, including Jai Paul and Soundgarden’s return and the new video from Jack White.

Tracklist

The Chemical Brothers – Block Rockin’ Beats
Soundgarden – Live to Rise [they’re back – and this is what they sound like]
Jai Paul – Jasmine (demo) [which is on Soundcloud and causing a stir]
Jack White – Sixteen Saltines [check out the video here]
Toodar – We Didn’t Mean to Go to Sea [Part of Tom’s new Introducing Mixtape]
