David Byrne

After the announcement of David Byrne teaming up with Arcade Fire on Speaking in Tongues for the re-release of The Suburbs, along with the plethora of other interesting partnerships which have occurred this week – we are going to focus on some of the most exciting musical collaborations from over the years tomorrow on Now Playing (May 13).

Other examples of combined musical minds coming together this week are Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi’s album which was made available for streaming online, Dr Dre and Eminem’s track Die Hard being used on a boxing programme, Beck remixing Jamie Lidell, while Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) took on Grinderman’s Micky Mouse and the Goodbye Man – and Snoop Dogg even joined forces with Charlie Sheen on Winning.

Which two musical forces who have fused together have caught your imagination? Recently Robert Smith of The Cure worked with Crystal Castles, David Bowie and Bing Crosby, The Chemical Brothers and New Order – there are so many options and the decision is down to you as to what we play.
