Afternoon everyone! Well, after a long week I think it's time I stuck my feet up and enjoyed a nice, wholesome baguette! Hope you've all had lovely weekends, I've just finished the weekend shows and have a day off tomorrow!

I don't know about many of you guys, but I'm still gobsmacked by how much David Beckham's going to be earning at his new club, LA Galaxy…. £500,000 a week! It's mind-blowing...It was interesting hearing that he asked his showbiz pal Tom Cruise for advice before he decided to sign.

So anyway- if you could ask any celebrity for advice, who would it be? I'd ask X Factor's Simon Cowell, he's straight talking and no-nonsense!

See y'all soon (that's what Becks'll have to get used to saying!)

Hola! Right... My New Year resolution is to learn to play a musical instrument - and what funkier one than the saxophone! I haven’t actually started yet, and I reckon it's pretty hard to get to grips with! But hopefully it'll all be worth it... even if I do annoy the neighbours with the practising!

Do any of you guys play any instruments? Were they hard to learn? And do you think the dark glasses go with the sax-playing? I kinda like 'em

Hey everyone, I've taken to a spot of footie this afternoon. I've been joined by some kids from a school I've been filming at in Oxfordshire. I'm in goal and they've just put about 7 goals past me.... So I'm not giving the ball back!

It's been a fun day today, even though it was raining and freezing cold when we arrived. Everyone at the school has been fantastic. The kids have been doing something really important and interesting for their school. You'll have to watch it on Newsround tomorrow to see more! All the usual times throughout the morning and afternoon....

Before I go... Do any of you have any New Year's resolutions?- I've got a special one I'll tell you about tomorrow.

Earth and beyond

Hello everybody and happy new year! It's great to be blogging again in 2007, and guess what?! As I'm writing this to you all of a sudden, the sun's just appeared out of nowhere…. How wonderful!

I've been star-gazing this morning- or I should say moon-gazing really. I can’t see anything as it's way too bright, but sometimes you can see the moon in the mornings! Scientists want to send British space missions to the moon for the first time. Not manned-missions though, so it had me wondering… if I were an astronaut, what would it be like to set foot on it's crater-like surface??

Anyway, what do you guys reckon of our space adventures? Would you like to see us do more missions to discover more stuff about our universe? And do any of you think there really might be life beyond our solar system?!!!
