Day at the races

John McCririck with Lizzie


I'm at the Grand National at Aintree in Liverpool today - it's one of my favoruite sporting events of the year. It's just such an amazing race and there's always loads going on and plenty of excitement.

The best thing for me is that I get to meet loads of my heroes. This morning I've seen several top jockeys, interviewed BBC commentator Jim McGrath and here I am posing with Big Mac, John McCririck.

You can check out the pony racing on Sportsround at 11.45am today before the big race starts at 4.15pm.
