Here's another little quiz to get you thinking before tonight's show.

UPDATE: Sorry - we just had to drop this from Springwatch tonight. We had too much and and something had to go.

But we'll keep it here online and bring you the answer at 8pm.

Which is the odd one out and why?

We'll post the answer here on the blog after the show.

And here's your answer:

A. is a Eye Hawk Moth (thanks to Lee Summersby)

B. is Banded Snail  eye (thanks to Dr Stephen Murray)

C. is Crab eye (thanks to Spencer Burrows)

So the link is they are all eyes, but A is the odd one out as it's not a real eye, only in name.

here in salisbury we have a field surronded by houses and we have at least 4 pairs of sky larks also walking down by the river we noticed a bird that looked like a nighting gale and when it sung it was so loud 3 times the volume of a blackbird is it possible it was a nighting gale

Re the ball of fibre found on a beach in Sardinia, we believe this is poseidonia grass rolled into a pellet and washed up by waves onto the beach.

I think A is the eye-like marking on the wing of a butterfly, C seems to be another deceptive fake eye. So B is the odd one out - this is frogspawn.

I too first thought C to be the eye of a toad but having read others comments obout velvet crab I'm not sure. I think A is the odd one out as I think it is a peacock butterfly.

A is the odd one out because it is not a real eye, it is an eye spot pattern on a butterfly wing. B is a slug or snail, C looks like it might be a crab?
