Rumour has it that UK rapper Ty is secretly seeing US rapper/actress Eve.
A close source disclosed that the two met recently at an industry event and are currently embarking on a passionate world wind romance. The insider added, "Eve is based in Los Angeles and Ty resides in London but this hasn't stopped him from frequently flying out to LA to be with the star. He is besotted".
"Eve has also fallen for Ty big time and has never been or looked happier".

You could tell that last night's double bill was the set up for something huge. Apart from it being very well shot, written and acted (each episode is the quality of a hollywood film) it seems to be very realistic - taking a subject matter that is fantasy but having the basis in reality. The general premise was that the people who will become our Heroes were all discovering their powers following the solar eclipse:
Hiro (the Japanese funny one) finally managed to control the time/space continuum with just his mind. First he managed to teleport himself into the womens bathroom of a nightclub (good work) and secondly, he managed to teleport to New York City one month later and get himself embroiled in a murder investigation. His best friend Ando didn’t believe him. Funny how that happens...
Claire Bennet (the texas teenage cheerleader) can heal herself no matter what happens and doesn't feel any pain. Shame she acts like a spoilt brat - I found myself hoping she'd manage to hurt herself. Will finding out who her biological parents were give us an insight into her super powers? Will she ever wear anything other than her cheerleading outfit?
Niki (the blonde stripper) has a murderous alter ego and a gifted son (who used to be in My Wife and Kids - go Franklin!). She managed to kill 2 loan sharks from the mob last night. Wonder how many more her alter ego will have to kill before she's done! Reminds me a bit of Jekyll...
Peter & Nathan (the politician and his brother) seem to both be able to fly. Nathan is more interested in his own political career though. Typical politician! MummyJam says that not everything is as it seems with Peter though. Thanks Mum!
Matt (the policeman) can hear people’s thoughts but that managed to get him arrested. Didn’t you just wanna scream at that woman detective “HE KNOWS WHAT’S HAPPENING BECAUSE HE’S A HERO!!” (or was that just me?)
-Mohinder (the indian scientist one) doesn’t seem to have any super powers himself (yet) but his dad was killed because of his research into it and it looks like Mr Bennet is involved. Will Mohinder find that he has special powers too?
- and finally, Mr Bennet is blatantly creepy. What’s he gonna do next?
Like every good American drama series a la Sopranos, Desperate Housewives, 24, Lost et al - the episode left us with more questions than answers. What is Mr Bennet up to? Who killed Mohinder's dad? Why hasn't Niki's son seemed to age since he was in 'My Wife and Kids'? Can Hiro really teleport into any time and space or was it a daydream? Who is Isaac? And can his paintings & comics see the future? What relevance does Richard Rowntree aka Shaft have? He can’t just be in it to be comatose in a bed in the first episode and then die…can he? Can both Peter and Nathan fly? And why did their dad kill himself? What will happen to Matt now he's been arrested? Will Claire manage to stop acting like a spoilt brat?
I've purposefully kept away from it ever since my cousin Dan (he who of designing MistaJam.com fame alongside George and Chris at Square Circle - whaddup boys?) told me about it last october. He had the entire first series. I slept. Then I saw a trailer for when the show was coming to Sci Fi channel. I wished I hadn't!
The hype has been huge but quite underground - luckily I've been able to miss spoilers and have avoided wikipedia for the same reason. My mum was hooked to it since Sci Fi channel had it - but they put it on at a ridiculous hour for a working DJ such as myself to be able to catch it on a regular basis. God bless the BBC - Heroes is here! BBC2 on Wednesday nights.
Reasons to watch heroes:
1) It's on the same time that The Apprentice used to be
2) I'm not on the radio at that time
3) The show is said to be amazing by some very good sources (including MummyJam and Cousin Dan)
4) It's taken a comic book theme and put it into a Lost/24 style format
5) I've delayed flying out to Ibiza by one day this week to catch it!

Managed to check out Akon's exclusive 1Xtra session, recorded on Friday 22nd July 2007 for Trevor Nelson's summer residency at 1Xtra at the legendary Maida Vale studios. It was my first time meeting Akon - he's a real cool dude, seems really down to earth even though he's one of the biggest artists in Black music at the moment. Trevor interviewed him first and then came the session which was really on point - just Akon with a paired down band DJ, drummer and bassist and a small invitation only crowd of about 15 people! At the end of the session, we expected him to walk off to his dressing room but instead, he took questions from his fans and posed for pictures with everyone! The only downside was that he seemed to take a shine to MissisJam...
Managed to ask him what the deal was with him and Sway - to hear his response, listen again to my Friday night show last week. As part of my "MistaJam in the Sun" tour (that doesn't exist really, I just have a residency in Ibiza and Mallorca over the summer) I'm in Mallorca at the moment - playing at my summer residency at the biggest club on the Island BCM which is also where 1Xtra's sister station Radio One have had their first Six Weeks of Summer event. This means that Dave Pearce is my warm up DJ tonight!
I'm over here with MissisJam (of course), Sway, Matt LoveDough and Faith SFX (as soon as he gets over here!). Now, I have my camera with me so I'm gonna see what treats/sights I can see and report back.
I'm piggybacking on someone's wireless at the moment in the hotel so don't expect an hour by hour report but keep locked here for updates...especially if you're in the rain soaked UK! I promise to not rub it in...too much!

It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you - but I've been putting in the work (and the miles) converting those house heathens in Mallorca and Ibiza. Parts of it have got a little messy:
The moral of the story is - DON'T GO DRINKING WITH RONNIE HEREL!! I promise to do a video blog next time I'm out there - to show you the real Ibiza through my eyes!
Anyway - seems like not much has happened since I left you apart from the world has gone Daft Punk mad again. Call it the Kanye effect, dude samples Harder Better Faster Stronger for his track Stronger (first previewed on this blog a few months ago) and the internet goes Daft Punk crazy!

I've always been a fan of Daft Punk and recommend them to all. If you like Stronger, go check out 'Discovery' - their second album. Very big. The only question at the moment is has Kanye done the french duo justice with Stronger? Or is the original better?
