Well, it has to be Lars Von Trier. I understand that he is an acquired taste, but at least he has the courage of his convictions. "Nymphomaniac Volumes 1 & 2 are definitely on the "must see" list.

I'm tentatively looking forward to Godzilla. The trailer made it look cool, organised and with a good sense of scale. I just hope it isn't another Man of Steel - where the trailer's editors had more of an idea of what we, the audience, were hoping for than Zack Snyder ever did.

Also, it's a bit of a guilty pleasure but I'm keen to see X-Men: Days of Future Passed. I'm sure it'll be daft and long and perhaps we're all a bit tired of the franchise, but I think it must be the appeal of seeing all those A-list stars together. And all of them wielding crazy powers too.

There's a video that's been uploaded to YouTube called 'Muppets Most Wanted - Outrage' and if this is how smart the trailer is, just imagine what the final film will be like. Although infuriatingly, we're all going have to wait until at least March to see it.

Anything not massively hyped that I find out about the day before I see it.

You really have no chance of escapism if you wait ages for a film to come out, thinking about how it may turn out.

    Looking forward to:

The Double - Richard Ayoade worked wonders on Submarine and the trailer to this already looks like it could be a personal favourite of 2014. Hope it can live up to my expectations!

The Boxtrolls - the first teaser trailer was one of the funniest things I saw last year and the second teaser has ramped up the anticipation even more.

A Most Wanted Man - a great cast filming a great Le Carre book, but mainly I am excited as it's the latest offering from Anton Corbijn since The American - which was filmmaking of the highest order, in my humble opinion.

Someone else mentioned Her. I have always enjoyed watching Spike Lee films, however, I have always felt many of them were lacking in a few areas. I am really looking forward to seeing this one. It looks like a total divergence of his usual thematic story telling. Appears to be a great satire of modern-day technological romance.

Glad to hear the good Doctor throwing his shout-out to the Raid 2. The sequel preview literally gave me chills. Cannot wait to see the next one.

I, too, am hopeful about Godzilla. It appears they actually secured the rights to show Godzilla's actual likeness this time, along with his signature scream. I am really hopeful they do something interesting and gritty with this one. +1 from having Brian Cranston as well.

The one which will surely disappoint is the revamping of Hercules. Got a chance to see this preview a few times; it looks dreadful. Sad to see someone take a potentially interesting story and change into mass-marketed trash. Hey, I could be wrong, but probably not.
