I've absolutely no qualms about Bay directing T4... it's where he belongs and stops him from making other movies. Detritus deserves detritus.

Mark, your pathological obsession with Transformers is rather disturbing to say the least. I would say "don't watch it", but maybe you have no choice in the matter? If so, I suggest a good pair of earplugs and some very dark glasses - this will enable you to have a good kip while your are enduring flick number 4 in a couple of years. Atfer all, in your mind they are all the same, so you can just do a generic review for number 4.

Alternatively, you could watch them and concentrate on the technical aspects - if the previous 3 are anything to go by this one will also have some well executed CGI, excellent audio mixing and the like. Just ignore the story, the awful script and the lousy acting by the humans in the flick, as I do.

I love the fact that even though you're so angry you can't quite commit to it so have to have a folded up dishcloth under the computer to take out the impact from the forehead/quiff...or maybe that was instructions from the good Professor to save marking the kitchen table...

I have followed Mark's advice and never watched any of the Transformers movies. I think cinemas should simply ask people to pay on the way out because that's how you measure success. Loads of people go to see rubbish films but that does not tell us how satisfied they were and we'd never have another Transformers movie if cinema chains had our interest in mind as opposed to their own. Well, at least we know that we can look forward to the rant of the century starting nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnow.

PS: Mark, I don't think they're ready to write you a letter apologizing for these movies just yet.

OK, moment over. Can we move on now?

Myself, I'm looking forward to War Of Arrows
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-od9F5mKmY
    plus several others.

A debating point: As the streaming of movies to smart-phones/Gamestaions/PlayStations/Xboxes etc becomes more commonplace will small indie movies have an advantage over blockbusters that can't show much detail on small screens? Technology may yet defeat Michael Bay.

Is the future to become a war between cinemas and hand-held devices?
As Optimus Prime once said. ;-)

"Before time began, there was...the Cube. We know not where it comes from, only that it holds the power to create worlds and fill them with life. That is how our race was born. For a time we lived in harmony, but like all great power, some wanted it for good...others for evil. And so, began the war."

It's Apple, Samsung, Sony & Microsoft vs the multiplex and Blockbuster.

And a classic quotes from the man himself.........
'For me, the great joy is to watch an audience watching what I've made. To hear not a peep from the audience at the right moment, and then to hear the laughs and the cheers'
Don't you mean laughs and jeers there dear boy.......;-)
