At the end of 2011 I posted my ten worst movies of the year. Since then a lot of people have been asking me for my list of the best. I already revealed them on the 5 Live show but here they are again plus a difficult question - since I was forced to leave out Drive, one of my favourite movies of the year, which of my choices would you lose to make way for it?

A movie with that much violence shouldn't be in any top list films.

Okay, Mark, I know you will probably laugh at this one but I think the one that has to go is We Need To Talk About Kevin, I didn't like the film at all. There was that element where there is metaphor that having a child turns your life upside down, you loose something in your life. That freedom that was once there before but is now gone and gone forever, but I just hated the film and everything it was about. I left completely disgruntled and annoyed at it. I was looking forward to seeing it after your review and i just didn't see what everyone else saw. Everything else in your top 11 I saw and I would agree with, okay, I didn't see the goat film but I will take your word for it. You Need To Talk About Getting That Film Out Of Your Top 11, thats what I say

As far as I'm concerned Drive was the best film of the last eleven years, let alone worthy of a place among your "best" from this year. A disgraceful oversight.

Lose your number 2... goat herding film that no one saw, we cannot even make a comment if it was good or bad collectively as your blog followers. Drive would slot nicely in there. x
