A report from an American think-tank says there are just over one-and-a-half billion Muslims in the world, nearly one in four of the total population. The Pew Forum's analysis, which took three years to compile, shows that sixty per cent of Muslims are in Asia, and only twenty per cent in the Middle East and North Africa.
