Hi, It's Martin Vennard here again.
An estimated 400 million people worldwide are classified as clinically obese, and obesity is now recognised as a major global health threat comparable with HIV/Aids.

The BBC World Service is running Globesity a season of programmes on the issue.

It investigates this worldwide phenomenon by looking at science, surgery, body image - and some innovative fat-busting projects.

As part of the season, presenter Paul Bakibinga - who has battled with his weight all of his life - has travelled to South Africa and Denmark. He hears from those who are affected by obesity, and compares their experiences to his own.

Paul will be joining us for our programme on Thursday 26th July. If you would like to talk to Paul, ask him a question or merely comment on the subject send us your details.
