He's been supported by his large family and also by his colleague, who happens to be Mike Peters of The Alarm.

Andrew is a guitar technician for the Alarm frontman and a musician in his own right. Over the years he has supported Mike Peters in his efforts to raise funds for cancer treatment following his own battles with the illness, including joining Mike in a trek up Snowdon.

Now Mike is returning the favour by supporting Andrew and encouraging people to buy the wristbands which raise funds for the MND.

During recent filming for Vinyl, a movie based on a hoax which saw Mike Peters score a hit with a spoof band, he got actors Keith Allen and Phil Daniels involved and wearing the wristbands.

For further information on Andrew's campaign take a look at his sister, Janet's blog which includes photos of guitars Andrew has designed and built over the years, some of which have been played by Mike Peters.
