Eisteddfod wants us learners

It's great being a 'dysgwyr ar hyn o bryd' [a learner at the moment]. We're being spoiled. At the proclamation ceremony much was made of the fact that, more than ever, learners needed to be encouraged.

And as if to confirm that, the Welsh Assembly has given another £62,000 to help fund this year's National Eisteddfod in Mold. According to BBC Local News, the money allowed the festival to "travel to parts of Wales where the Welsh language is not widely spoken as a community language".

And apparently much is being done to make us feel at home on the Maes [field] this year.
