The great community newspaper the Flintshire Chronicle ran an interesting article in this week's edition, looking at the sentences handed to criminals in our local courts.

Under the headline 'Have we gone soft on crime?', it was highlighting the implications due to the UK's prisons being full. The issue could also be used to restart the debate about having a new prison built - especially for North Wales. What do you reckon?

You can get more background on this from www.parliament.uk, or story from BBC Local News about a senior probation officer's call for a regional prison.
