Volunteers have helped bring about a record number of rare Little Tern fledglings at Wales' only remaining Little Tern colony in Gronant, according to www.denbighshire.gov.uk. The vigilance of wardens working for Denbighshire's Countryside Service and the volunteers assisting them prevented many of the eggs from being taken by crows prior to hatching, resulting in 193 fledglings to date this year.
