My Father in law, grew beautiful large very tasty tomatoes, he is no longer with us, so I can reveal his secret, I hope he won't mind, ( sheep droppings ) you put them in a large tank of water, preferably at the bottom of the garden, ( otherwise the wife may complain ) and you let it ferment, I don't know exactly how long, but it must be months, and months, till it becomes a rich strong smelling broth, strain it and use the liquid as a fertiliser, you will see those tomatoes, and anything else you put it on, perk right up, especially your leeks, of course you have to go round farmers fields yourself gathering this rich bounty, well!! no one else will do it for you, will they??
