Superstar Bolt in dazzling form

Sonja McLaughlan | 14:40 UK time, Monday, 20 July 2009

Hi all - we had a few technical problems with our blog system over the weekend so my post from Paris, where Usain Bolt once again destroyed the field, appeared here.

To run that time in such conditions is just stunning, I see he might be unfit for the World Championships - depending how bad this is of course, I still don't see anyone catching him even on a really bad day. I thought Williamson actually ran pretty well considering where he was last year (or only a few months ago), beating Martina is impressive. He needs to step up, and while I don't think he will realistically be anywhere near Bolt, he certainly can match most the other top sprinters if he keeps progressing like he is.

    Sonja,

Another fantastic post race interview with Usain Bolt! You have an incredible ability to ask the right questions for us fans to get an understanding of what it would like to be in his spikes! I certainly agree with you that his achievements in Beijing have made him an iconic superstar of World Sport, matching the likes of Woods & Federer.

Three questions I hope you can answer for me....
Do you think he will break any of his world records this season?

Who will be the main threat to the Jamacians in the Mens 4x100m?

How will Great Britain do in the 4x100m without Dwayne Chambers?
