In iPM tomorrow: Is the iPM Blue Peter Rip Off Advent Crown balanced?

Ahem..The iPM Advent Crown

With the help of Janet Ellis we created the iPM Blue Peter Rip Off Advent Crown - to help our listeners count down to the General Election. Every iPM, we'll hang another election item on the crown. (You can see more pics and learn how to make your own crown - it's not too late - here.)

But is it balanced and impartial? We ask an expert on the programme at 17.30 on Radio 4 on Saturday.

There are so many things wrong with that Advent crown that I don't know where to begin. Balance is the least of it ;o)

Big Sis, blame me, I insisted on fire retardant tinsel.

As for impartiality. I suppose at some point the news folk, and that includes PM are going to talk to the "minor" parties. you know UKIP, Monster Loonies, BNP, Greens, etc.

As for whose baubles, apparently they plan to hang stuff tangenitally related to the election rather than Christmas decorations.

So expect some red items, some blue items, a few yellow items and the occasional grey item. I suppose hints of green and orange may be needed for Wales and Scotland, and possibly a dab of white for IKHHC.

Talking of which, I was in Kidderminster last weekend, and out of 7 billboards on one of the main routes into town, four were posters advertising the Blue Party (three featuring the visage of the Dour Scotsman), two were advertising products, and one was stripped bare.

Somehow I get the impression they're desperate to oust a certain doctor in that constituency...

...is there anywhere else with an independent candidate standing who may have a chance of winning the seat?
