We have recently had several Blackbird chicks in our garden, but sadly found one that appeared to be in trouble yesterday. We left it as the parent birds were in close proximity. On checking again this morning we found that the chick was dead but that something had taken the head, but left the body. We have seen sparrowhawks and other predators around, but they usually take the whole body away. Could it be perhaps rats that would just take part of a carcass and leave the rest? We do know that they are around the area where we live (rural). Any ideas?

Woo! I only got 2 questions wrong, one of the questions at the start of the video and got the very last question wrong, the one where it was Chris against Simon, as I thought it was Tadpoles making a noise, pah ha ha!
