Lips 2 Da Floor

Post categories:

Mistajam | 00:55 UK time, Thursday, 15 March 2007

I've been sleeping! This video is HILARIOUS!!! UK rapper Dubbledge decided to do a track taking the mickey out of 'waste' grime emcees & grime tracks (have to stress wasted, because as we all know, not all grime is waste - just some...) called Lips 2 Da Floor. The track itself was quite funny but this video just takes it to that next level.

The first time I watched it, I had tears rolling down my face through laughing so hard. Is this not pure comedy gold?

: If you want to purchase the Lips 2 Da Floor track on hempeefree, hear more from Dubbledge and maybe even check out his new release 'Rice & Peas' click here. Tings in ma socks...

You notice how the GOOD grime artists are the ones who bring out the mixtapes and pack it with 90% says somthing for the longgevity of Grime music, its a phase untill they stay dedicated to THAT particular genre.... but they dont coz they

PErry - explain to me how me posting this video on my blog is 1Xtra not supporting UK music.

In every music scene there are rubbish artists and in every music scene, people make parodies.

Dubbledge, Dabbla and Mention have made a parody that takes the michael out of rubbish (or 'waste' if you will) grime emcees and grime tracks.

If you're offended by this then I think you're one of the waste emcees they're going at.

Whoever mentioned JME is WAY off target. I'm thinking those budget guys you see on channel U and youtube who can barely talk never mind rhyme.

Anyway PErry, you don't wanna mess as I got tings in my socks...feet.

da tune dat its sampled off is 'child of the wild west' by cypress hill and roni size, and its on the blade 2 OST.

Btw, i come from nw london, where about 50% of all s*** grime comes from, so this track is a breath of fresh air. i wanna make dis tune big, cos it deserves all da respect it gets and more.

and dont go on about how 'its insultig to the entire scene', if that was true, then chamillionaire, along with countless other artists would have sued weird al yankovich. just enjoy the tune for what it is, a joke.
