I think this might be odd...

Greg James | 12:21 UK time, Tuesday, 6 December 2011

I was talking to a mate at the weekend who knows someone who is expecting their first child near Christmas.  She was telling me that he has spent the last few days making a harness for his new baby.  What a lovely idea, I thought.  In an age where everyone just buys everything - what a great idea to actually craft something.

She then went on to inform me that the harness was being made to fit on the back of the cat so the new born baby can ride around.

This really worried me.  I'm a huge fan of weird stuff but the prospect of a baby strapped to the back of a cat as it darts over roof tops and under cars worries me a little bit.

Can you ride a cat like a horse?  Won't it buckle under the pressure?

Any thoughts?

Greg, I thought you might be interested to know that someone I know went to a wedding where in the middle of the ceremony the best man did an 'I-forgot-the-ring' skit and called in an owl, which brought the rings. The owl had to be fed a small rodent in the middle of the wedding as well... #animalsoldiers
