Backstage bits at the Brits...

Greg James | 05:16 UK time, Friday, 20 February 2009

What a night it was.  I listened back to my show yesterday...hmmm, let's just say I think it encapsulated the spirit of the night.

Anyway, I was snooping around the backstage area and whipped out my phone at every opportunity.  Here's a few shots from the night:

This was my domain for the night: I was conducting interviews with all the stars after they performed or won an award.  If they didn't win, they got the hump and didn't come through.

On the way to the Brits - a bit scared as we pulled up to the arena:

Sara Cox's dressing room:

Girls Aloud's dancers before they went on:

Wheeey!  Lads!  Here we are at an after party we sneaked into.  I look more orange than Scott:

A huge Brit:

The arena after the event:

It was an amazing night and I was so fortunate to be there.  I managed to interview all the big names and even managed to rile Girls Aloud by asking a provocative question about the splitting up rumours.  They overreacted a bit.  Blew my chances, there.

Have a look at all the official guff from the night here.

Girls Aloud did go a bit OTT, from the sounds of it.

    Looks like fun!

(I wonder if Sarah or Emma will be the next to comment)

(And it was mee! Haha... We should form a little club! Lets call it "The repliers of Gregorys blog" or something a lot more catchy....)

I was expecting a lot more insane sleepless alcohol fueled bizarreness from the show, but you held it together like a proper professional and everything! Shocking.

Loving the medias opinion on you controversial questioning of Girl Aloud. You really are the big bad wolf who asked the question they just couldn't face answering so walked off in a strop. I saw a video of it, and it truly was very funny the way Cheryl reacted, PMS much?

I wouldn't pick any of their songs as record of the week if I was you, not out of spite for you not liking them any more, more for the fact that I can just imagine where they'd tell you to stick your jingle request...

I double dare Moyles to ask them the same question up on the mountain...

    Au Reviour Mon Ami
Lots to get done today, big OB tomorrow (involving a 7am start.... OUCH!!!)

    Much Love

Hmmm I will have a think and get back to you.
Both of the above are a very good starting point.

    BTW, have you got twitter?

  • Comment number 5.

I do. Same username as here.

    The Blogory James Writers?

Why am I still thinking of names? XD

  • Comment number 6.

Following you now... I'm also the same user name as on here :-p

we are creatures of habit and predictability.

I havent had much chance to think about this yet... If I think of anything Ill put it as a comment on one of the newer blogs

  • Comment number 7.

You think we're predictable? You should see some of the spelling mistakes...or maybe they're just products...in our shop. We're an Esso garage/Spar shop and we're currently selling "Shippam's Ass Paste," "The Full Monty" (NOT the DVD) and "Jammy Doggers."
