The Now Show Returns - Preview

Hold on to your hats! The Now Show returns to Radio 4 tonight at 6.30pm.

Here's Producer Julia McKenzie with the gossip:

A few hours before the recording we took a call from Hugh Dennis who was just about able to croak out the alarming message that he'd lost his voice and BBC doctors had signed him off work!

So a few calls were hastily made and luckily the excellent BBC Radio regular Laurence Howarth (Safety Catch, The Jason Byrne Show, Look Away Now) was able to step in to be an extra member of the cast whilst Steve frantically zipped through the script re-allocating parts.
