Preview of Inside Out November 9

Chris Jackson | 08:00 UK time, Friday, 6 November 2009

He's a guy who makes an eye-catching woman.

Paul Jowsey as Miss Beverly HillsPaul Jowsey is a Geordie who decided not to follow his dad's footsteps into running the family shop, he found the lure of his mum's out-of-hours career far more captivating.

As a kid he remembers the swish of her high-class frocks and the scent of her perfume as she left for the evening to become a whole new persona. Mum by day, she was Sheila Rayne by night - a singer on the Northern entertainment circuit.

When Paul grew up he discovered a talent as a female impersonator. Now as Miss Beverly Hills he makes a living at it. He wears more make up than his mum and his dresses are certainly more flamboyant. See for yourself in Monday's Inside Out.

Also on the programme we are on the trail of the invisible man. Not the author H.G. Wells's famous character, but a modern day artist whose life has been turned upside down because as far as the authorities were concerned he had simply vanished into thin air.

And if you've ever fancied getting back to nature you'll discover why more and more and more of us are jumping out of the swimming pool and into our rivers and lakes.
