...to go till The Dell'Olio hits The Show.

Buckle up everyone - this is gonna be some ride.

For the first time ever, I am going to go on line to hunt out clips of Nancy on talk shows - purely to try to get a handle on how she interacts with people at length, in conversation.

I, literally, have no idea what makes her tick. I find her truly fascinating. What makes someone so, seemingly, supremely confident in their own value? I can't wait to find out.

Will we get the key of the door to Nancy's World? Tune in tomorrow to find out.

Peace and Love and hot water bottles.

I reckon the door to Nancy's world is probably well and truly double-locked and padlocked. But we'll all be listening, hoping for a glimpse inside...good luck!

A very happy Thursday to all the bloggers. I used to lurk and occasionally post a while back and have recently returned to find things much quieter. Did something dramatic happen or did things just fizzle a bit? Just wondering!

    Hi Chris,

Not sure I would want the key to Nancy's world. Can't wait to hear how you handle her tomorrow ;o)

    Hi Amy

Hi Chris: I won't get to hear Nancy tomorrow, but I will make a point of listening again, just to see if a single word of sense comes out of her mouth! I wish you luck!

    Hi everyone else:

Apologies for my rant yesterday about bikes. Yes, I know Chris was actually talking about the problem of storing them ... and then I went off on one!

JG: I am sure your guy understands that you are there for him and that you'll be there to support him. xx

Roo: thinking of you and the lovely Jasper. xx

Bids: bit of a nightmare ahead for you and Mr Bids - I hope it won't be too awful.

CSN: there is a wee chink of light at the end of the tunnel, just hang in there!

Now, I came on here this morning with the intention of saying "Happy Birthday sweetie" to my old love, Mark King of Level 42! And I do still send those wishes to that lovely man, but my entire day turned on its head this morning when I heard Chris say that Westlife are splitting up! Mary, thank you for thinking of me - I must listen again to Chris's show this morning - I only heard him until 8am!

A sad day, indeed, in the life of this particular blogger, but I will soldier on, as best as possible. Kian, Mark, Shane and Nicky ... you have broken my heart!

    Morning everyone,

I'm a new blogger. I'm looking forward to engaging with you all.

Glad to see that we are all sorted for 27 December. Hearing Alice Richardson as the mystery guest yesterday - along with Vassos and now Phil - What a great team that would be. Everything is going to be ok again when Chris is next away.......

Will be enjoying Nancy on the radio tomorrow. Remind me again, what does she do? Oh yes, dancing. But not anymore.........

    See you all.

Mary and Chrissie, thank you so much for all your support. I have everything crossed that my finishing date will come true, hopefully. xx

Chrissie, sending you big hugs, sorry to hear about Westlife. xx

    Hello Amy.

Hope everyone has a good Thursday.

    Hi everyone,

Will not be able to listen tomorrow as I start work at 8, so I will S*y+ the show and listen later, I'm sure it will be brilliant.

Finishing work early today as I've got the vet coming to give the horses their vaccinations and rasp their teeth (yuk), so have a good day.

    Hello CE & Everyone.

When you first mentioned that Nancy Dolioolaly was going to be your Friday guest Chris I was not at all interested thinking to myself 'I've got no time for these se called celebrities who don't actually do anything' but as we are getting nearer I find myself getting more and more curious as to what this interview will be like.

It's often the way that we end up liking people who irritate us and vice versa. Can;t wait to see what happens!

I'm hoping my new roof will be put on soon and that my TV aerial will be put back. I know that there are more important things going on in the world but I'm getting TV withdrawal symptoms. Can watch online but it costs too much and I'm already concerned about my licence!

    Welcome Con & Amy_Eleanor!

Thanks for the hellos! I'm starting to think maybe there was a big blog bust-up...if that's the case then I hope it wasn't too upsetting.

In other news, am I the only person who didn't even know Carla Bruni-Sarkozy was pregnant? I really have been out of the loop over the last year or so.

Oh Christoff - I have a disturbing vision of you in my mind right now. You're sitting in front of your computer, watching clips of Nancy's previous interviews with your head in your hands. It'll be OK my love - we're all right behind you.

Could you please ask her what her hot water bottle technique is. Does she go for the excellent 'cover all three areas' technique that we heard about this morning, or does she go for the 'stick it up your nightie' approach favoured by most ballroom-dancing, world peace-promoting Italian lawyers?

    Love Barmy xx

  • Comment number 10.

    Helloooooooooooo!

AliB, I’m here and ok, thanks for asking.

Not had much to report really, I took a complete break from the blog and the breakfast show when our leader was on holiday. Tried to listen on the first day, but was a definite turn off for me. Personally I think Miranda should stick to TV where she is brilliant.

Christoff, good luck tomorrow with loopy lolilo, a complete nut case if you ask me. Doubt I will hear much of it as I will be on breakfast duty with lots of chattering going on here (see below).

We are awaiting two jam eaters yet again for a sleepover, yes another day off tomorrow. I am not complaining because I love having them but for those working parents who don’t have childcare, how do they manage? We never had ‘inset’ days way back then!

We have yet another bright and beautiful day, albeit mighty cold. Might have to flick the heating switch, just to test it works, you understand!

    Love to everyone x

ps Beef stew and dumplings on the menu tonight, yum!!

  • Comment number 11.

Oooh Penny snap I have the same it is has been bubbling away in the ole slow cooker today, gotta add the dumplings later when I get home. yum yum.

Afternoon everyone, busy busy busy, had a bit of a strange couple of days with things in the office breaking down including the phone system.

Jakeygirl/Roo and Jasper ((hugs)) to you all hope things are improving for you all. Keep positive.

Nancy Doollalli! umm not sure about that one, can never quite figure what she is saying and not sure if she is taking the mickey or being serious. I shall be listening tomorrow intently with cotton wool just in case it all turns into a painful radio experience. Good CLP I think you might need it.

Not long til candyman which means that the weekend is imminent. Huzzah!

    Have fun everyone

    Nearly Friday - Yippee!!!!!

And even better, nearly the Friday before the week-and-a-day-off!!

I'm still feeling a little nervous for Chris for the morning - Signorina Dell'olipops does look like a handful!!

Never mind, not long until we turn up to give him his annual blog-hug!

Did anyone see Grand Designs last night? Such a good man on there changing a huge great industrial building into a home. He did loads of favours for people and then they came and helped him build.

Friends of ours used to live in a house that had high ceilings and they used to hang their bikes on brackets from the ceiling.

    Greetings CLP & ALL...

    Bingo Star 'ere...

CLP - Twenty four 'ours.... Am only twenty four 'ours from aving a meeting... but not with the wife of an ex footy dude!!!!!!!

Long story but ter cut a long short as me mind will allow.... What am trying ter do is get me long lead water pipe cut short.... Aka capped off.... Which presently a can't do as me stockcock is ceased solid.... And there's no stop vavle in the street for me new old 'ouse.... Thus meaning me water pipes are live... Live where a live.... And unstoppable if a getta pipe blow out!!!!!!!
Ter top it all... am renovating me 'ouse and ter rip out me old bathroom & kitchen... A need ter be able ter stop the water... Of which presently a can't all!!!!!!
    A can't presently!!!!!!

So ave spent in between work digging mesen inter a BIG 'ole all!!!!!!!
Nothing new there some might say!!!!!!
But this is a new type of 'ole ave dug mesen well & truly inter.... in fact ave gone under me foundations all!!!!!!!

Ave 'ad ter break through the floor in me 'all.... go down through 130 years of rubble and then excavate me way under me foundations!!!!!!
Then ave 'ad ter dig up me front path... drop down four feet and burrow the other way under me foundations until..... 'BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
A break through with the first 'ole.... VERY MUCH like me very own version of the channel tunnel!!!!!!!
Only difference mine is ter carry water through it.... Not illegal immigrants..... And mine didn't cost over a billion pounds!!!!!!!!

Any way ave banged me new pipe in all ter me local water authority regulations... complete with ducting & insulation and a britsh standard stopcock & drain valve!!!!!!!!

Next is the water board pipe inspector coming termorrow ter inspect me water pipe... ter see if it is upter the required standard!!!!!!

If so, then the go-ahead will be given ter connect me ter the main in the street of ter my new pipe thus giving me a new supply of water and then allowing me ter get a plumber in ter disconnect me 130year old lead pipes before too much exposure ter the lead sends me insane!!!!!!!! (lead poisoning does that!!!)

    Wish me luck for termorrow!!!!!!

    Hello one and all!

Don't fancy Chris's chances with Nancy Doolally tomorrow, what is she on?

Bikes.....why not invest in one of those little fold up jobbies that come with their own zip up holdall? Tuck it away in the bottom of your wardrobe, job done!

Cold but bright here today, and yes, I have succumbed to the heating, michelin man is not a good look!

Off to the capital for a jam packed weekend of sightseeing, eating, drinking and catching up with good friends ;-)

Only hope we can get into St Pauls, as I missed out last time I was there :-(

Still, it looks like it will be dry, if chilly.

    Bye for now, Lin x

    Morning All,

Well that wasn't that bad was it? Didn't hear much but what I did hear seemed OK to me - well done Chris.

Winter must be setting in as the scarf and gloves have been out the past two days and the temp in the car this morning was 3.5. However, no heating on at home yet.

Chrissie, I hope you drowned your sorrows over Westlife in a glass or two last night xx

Hi to Con - welcome :)

Amy-Eleanor, No major bust up, just people with different priorities now. Welcome back.

Hi Pen, Glad you are OK xx Enjoy the Jam Eaters.

Sezza, Enjoy your week off. I'm off the following week, can't wait xx

Bids, Have a lovely weekend with Mr and Mrs Keith, is MTF going too? xx

    Thank giddy goodness it's Friday.

  • Comment number 24.

    Hi everyone:

AliB: how perfectly put, "thank giddy goodness it's Friday" - so much nicer than the crude way I put it last week!

Bingo: sounds like you are in the middle of a nightmare! Bless you for taking time to blog, and still sounding so upbeat! Hope everything gets sorted for you. xx

Lin: have a wonderful time in London. I have never been to St Paul's, but I have been told it is utterly stunning.

Bids: hope you and Mr Bids have a really lovely weekend with Mr & Mrs Keith. Please tell Mrs Keith I wish her a happy birthday!

And Bids, thank you for your wee message about Westlife. Yes, they are doing a farewell tour, and would you believe my beautiful daughter bought tickets for us for that show, earlier this week - before the announcement that they are splitting up! She and I are so sad, and I would think it is fair to say there will be tears on the evening of that show! Apparently they all have plans and ideas for new careers, so we may not have seen the last of them! Thanks for asking. xx

AliB: you, too, thanks for your wee Westlife message. I know they are not your favourite band (to say the very least!), so that was really good of you. xx And, yes, it's fair to say I was not drinking tea last night! xx

    Hope everyone is ok.

    A quick Hello to everyone.

Ali, no I wont be going with Bids this time, but was very kindly invited.

Southern softie here has finally put some heating on in the house. Only because whimpy 17 year old, who is rarely here anyway, was walking around with chattering teeth, poor mite!!

I hope everyone has a good weekend, looks like being another nice one, I hope so anyway.

    Cheers me dears.

What a great show. Nancy certainly had good banter with you Chris.

Did you slip off for lunch with her after? She's a bit of a man eater i'm led to believe. She'd have you for breakfast.

What did she look like at that time in the morning anyway? Glamorous as ever or a bit ragged round the edges?

She's having a nightmare on strictly even though all at Netcars are routing for her.

I just think she doesn't fit in that well wit the others. Did you get the impression that she thinks she's better than everyone else or not?

I couldn't really tell from the conversation. I thought she gave a good account of herself anyway.

    Till next time.
