  • Comment number 12.

    Congrats CLP and co

2 days ago I recieved a media message on my phone from my daughter showing me her pic like the one above, my 3rd grandchild and I'm only 44. My first was 6 years ago but I have to say I do not feel like a grandad or act like one either (I have the proof lol) It is amazing what they can do with scaners and when you see it yourself it is just amazing.

    Talking Heads "Creatures Of Love"

    David Bowie - "Kooks"

Hope everyone is having a great day in spite of the rubbish weather

    Errol xxx

  • Comment number 13.

ARF - how about Donna Summer's
Love to love you baby ??

I'm so excited I just have to go home!!

    T xxxx

  • Comment number 14.

Errol - weird man. I was singing Bowie's Kooks all weekend, but can't get to the vinyl to play it!!

Also, this is really weird. I have butterflies in my tummy. This has started in the last hour or so. It's a kind of "christmas eve" feeling, almost like something BIG and EXCITING is going to happen tomorrow.....

Really quite freaky actually. Whatever can it be ? ? ?

    CtD x x x x

  • Comment number 15.

    Nice one Tinsel.

How about I'm So Excited by the Pointer Sisters?

    Debbie x x

  • Comment number 16.

What a lovely way to start my afternoon - I am so chuffed for you. How about Be my Bany by The Rollers - I love them to and it would make for another lovely afternoon tomorrow!

    Look after them both

  • Comment number 17.

CtD - i have the butterfly thingy too - maybe we've eaten something??? ;-)

Actually, I think it's cos I'm really happy that CLP has shared this with us!! Does that make me sad?? This does feel like a virtual bloggy family tho!

  • Comment number 18.

Oh Chris what wonderful news! Huge congratulations to you and Natasha xx Nothing like the news of a new baby to bring some happiness into the world xx

Lots of love to all three of you xxx (oh no that goes against my ocd three kisses I have to do everything in even numbers!) heres an extra one for the baby X :o)

Big hug to Enzo and Beth xx

    CoCo/Eleanor :o) knew you wouldn't stay away!

Gingembre - What a wonderful achievement for your daughter - you must be the proudest Dad in the land, and rightly so. {{{hug}}} Her Mum will be with her every step of the way.

As a kid I was into playing houses and dancing! You wouldnt' believe it to see me now lol Loved tap, ballet, modern and ballroom. My Dad made me a special big board I use to put out in the back garden to practise my tap dancing! Also used to love playing pretend shops selling the veg and rhubard from the garden lol I had a huge dolls pram, it was like a mini silver cross pram and I used to make my younger brother go in the pram and wheel him up and down the street for hours, his arms and legs would be dangling over the edge of the pram hahaha....ah the memories.

    Mary xx

  • Comment number 19.

Ladies I have that butterfly thing going on but suspect it's more to do with the pastrami and onion mayo sandwich that I had earlier.

Cheryl BIG and EXCITING eh? Sounds like your being blooming greedy to me ;-)

That scan picture is clear isn't it? Much clearer than ours was.

    So lovely!

  • Comment number 21.

Congratulations CLP. All my best to you and Tash and the little one.

Can't believe how clearer the scan photos are these days to the one i had done years ago.

My ARF would be My Girl as it is my gorgeous daughters 6th Birthday on Sunday and mine tommorrow.

Would make a lovely birthday present if i heard my song played.

    Love Michele xx

  • Comment number 22.

Very BIG and very EXCITING indeedy, lady!

And it started way before CLP's baby blog too.

    Bizarre ........

  • Comment number 23.

What wonderful news. You and Natasha are embarking on the most incredible adventure of your lives! Like all adventures, there will be exhilarating times, times when you will rejoice at the decision you've made and then, OF COURSE, times when you will think "who's idea was this?"!!!

I would love to come up with a fantastic ARF, but I'm useless at this sort of thing. If it's any help, I did buy "I am the one and only" for my daughter when she was born! And believe me, it turned out to be true!

    So happy for you both!

    C xx

  • Comment number 24.

What will Bingo have to say about the news?

  • Comment number 25.

  • Comment number 28.

Congratulations! Glad to hear mum and baby are doing fine, but what about the daddy? More 'citin' and trembly than a parachute jump I reckon.

    My ARF request:

    Place Your Hands - Reef.

I know its nowt to do with babbys, but there you go.

CtD - Trying to beat you to that hat-trick!

How about "Take Good Care Of My Baby"
    by Bobby Vee?

And re the skydive - I did a tandem, got hooked and ended up doing over 700 over the next few years. It is a total rush. Try watching the video through again to help you remember how brill it was and I won't be surprised when I hear you have signed up to do it again.

Someday girl I don't know when we're gonna get to that place
Where we really want to go and we'll walk in the sun

    Many congrats to you both,

eleanor - can you not be happy for the man - its his first 9as far as I know) and for one day a well done is in order

Also some people try for years to have a child and it doesn't always happen and each child is a miracle and you don't know what position people are in so please be a bit careful of peoples feelings on this delicate subject - to some people it can harder theb rocket science!

sorry - I think that is the first time I have had a go on this site but one glib comment can bring someone to tears - not me ( I hope) - but we have difficulties in my family and its a very hard thing to deal with!

Greetings and Salutations from hot and sunny Vancouver, Canada.

May I join the chorus who have offered Mr. Evans and Ms.Shishmanian thier most hearty congratulations. Though I am not yet a father, I can but imagine the elation that this must inspire. Health and happiness to the three of you.

Though busy at work as ever, I have continued to read this wonderful blog even when time has not afforded me the luxury of contributing. As ever, the humour, enetente cordiale and coninually sanguine content is a joy to behold.

With a breast cancer gala fund raiser this evening, a football match tomorrow evening, a Cirque Du Soliel matinee followed by a piquant dinner on Saturday (my girlfriend's birhtday treats) and then tennis on Sunday, I may not have time to write tomorrow.

With that said, I can but wish everyone a thriving thirsty Thursady, a fun-filled Friday, superb Saturday and slow and steady Sunday. Cheers to one and all.

    Dr. T

P.S. Women don't admit their age, but men don't act theirs.

Has anyone noticed a problem with facebook this afternoon?

MsRigsby - just briefly, regarding your comment on internet friends. Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience.

About three years ago I started visited a site aimed at new mums. Through a forum designed to introduce mums a lady got in touch me. It turned out she lived only a few miles away.

Her little boy and mine are now best friends. Our husbands get on, with have meals together etc. I'm meeting up with her tomorrow in fact. She has actually turned out to be one of my best friends.

Sometimes these things turn out ok.

CtD, I know what/who you are getting at, or at least trying to.

But for me, the thing that is missing from the blog for the past few days has been humour.

I am sorely tempted to join 3 x T, and maybe just make my Arf's on a thursday.

Too much bickering, too much twonking, I guess its just not my scene at the moment.

    Oh well.

Oh Chris what a wonderful sight. Many many congratulations to you both.

When my little monster was a babybel, I used to sing to him Groovy Kind of Love by Phil Collins. The line"when Im feeling blue all I have to do is take a look at you then Im not so blue...."kinda summed up how he made me feel from the first moment I looked at his scan piccy. He's now 8 and I still adore him!

Well done Chris you will make a great great dad.
