Run for cover and scream like a girl because Being Human has exploded back onto our screens with the new official trailer.

Not only do we have the awesome foursome of George, Nina, Annie and Mitchell, we've also got fangs, claws, meat and an exploding library. With so much going on we thought we'd go behind the scenes to show you exactly how it was made.

So... what do you think of the new creation?

  • Comment number 1.

    Yay!

  • Comment number 2.

Yes the trailer was excellent now how did they do it?

  • Comment number 3.

    Excellent trailer, thank you

  • Comment number 4.

Got to say love Sinead's expression when Russell says 'Dig the trailer'

  • Comment number 5.

only one disappointing thing.. still no date!!
great trailer though i'm getting more and more excited and may explode before the series starts

  • Comment number 6.

BBC3 still no warning to say go to Facebook site if outside the UK...the versions here are blocked to the rest of the world.

    Tom

Season 3 - The season to fight back!

  • Comment number 7.

Thought the trailer was 10.30pm on BBC One, tuned in purely for that, saw some other adverts, the news came on, was freaking out SLIGHTLY, turned over to BBC Three just in case...happy days :)

  • Comment number 8.

    Yaaaay That Was Awesome :D

  • Comment number 9.

Seen it 3 times now not planned either cos that would be sad !!!! Love it thought need new series before I spontaniously combust with excitement

  • Comment number 10.

Just in case George is checking the blog the word in post 9 should obviously have been though and not thought because thats just wrong

  • Comment number 11.

I LOVE you guys! Thank you so much BHProd! All we need now is an air date... *hint hint* ;)

Also, I love the little touches in the trailer - George picking up the can of dog food, number 13 on the ticket (unlucky for some!), £6.66 for the meat, aisle 3, Annie's book... such attention to detail! :)

    Ooooh, the excitement!!! :D

  • Comment number 12.

Loved this behind the scenes vid....and Aidan really was only interested in seeing the cute girl?...now there's a surprise!

Great trailer....loved seeing the 'slo-mo' action!

Thanks to Sinead, Russell, Aidan, Lenora...and above all thanks to the one and only Mr P

    Oh...and Happy New Year everyone

  • Comment number 13.

Can't wait for the new series! lovee the new year!!!

  • Comment number 14.

Thankyou so much BH production - excellent trailer and brilliant behind the scenes video.
I really hope we find out the start date in the next couple of days....

  • Comment number 15.

piratemoose is very observant... I was distracted by my well-earned somerset brie clearly! Good one. Like it. Thank you. Just want a date now. Please.

Good luck Annie (blog version) with the dress-making! I am signing off to focus on cheese and get an early night!

Marvellous Being Human-ness. Great show, great blog, great people. Love you all!

  • Comment number 16.

Yay, long trailer at last! Enjoyed the chat with the gang in the Green Room, Aidan being his naught self "waiting to see what the girl looked like!"...yeah, mate, I bet you were!

Lovely to see them on form, liked the quirkiness of the trailer. George and Nina imagining that meat, Mitchell pulling himself out of a free lunch at the last possible moment...great! And Lenora doing strange and wonderful things with books...and that scream at the end..chillin...er, maybe not quite the right word where Annie is concerned but, oh well.

Thanks BH Production/Mr Pilling et al, lovely story video you've made. Well done! Now even more desperate to see S3...bring it on guys.xxxx

  • Comment number 17.

So can't Keep it in does work for the full trailer the other side the side they hide boiling just under the surface longing to be released.

The blood still fresh in Mitchell the horrors of the other side for Annie and the hunger for George and Nina.

Soul is screaming at the dead and the needs of the Flesh for the living.

Looking back on the two seasons we see how Nina and George change moods with the moon how their needs force them to do what they otherwise wouldn't. The Gynaecologicals office being an example for George and even the night before you see how he was in a way almost biting and scratching Nina having to stop himself - watch and see.
Now will this mean that the moon will start to affect Nina in the same way?

As to the no dates for that I think we'll have to wait for a fifth trailer where we get some cut in scenes from the new season.

That will be a wait but we must hold on.

  • Comment number 18.

warwickshire_rose [15] - Haha, thanks! It's only because I watched it *mumbles* times in a row. I'm not obsessed... honest! Ahh, who am I kidding? I LOVE BEING HUMAN! ;)

  • Comment number 19.

"Evening all" olde and new bloggites and Happy New Year greetings to ee all.......... Great trailer, reminded me of one of my resolutions to EAT more RED MeaT!!!! MMMMmmmmmmmm!!!.............

  • Comment number 20.

    19 - No Beard

  • Comment number 21.

    20. I have do have a beard!

  • Comment number 22.

There are so many smart answers to that Lycan, but instead Lord Toby has a beard man in Library no beard

  • Comment number 23.

Excellent choice of music for this year's trailer, as was last year's, all good stuff and looking forward to the start of BH3. Every now and again something pops along that is worth our licence fee and this is definately one of them!

  • Comment number 24.

i am being humans biggest fan but cant play trailer in my area ireland not that far away, can u please please put it on you tube.

  • Comment number 25.

The trailer was great but...it never made it on to FB at 9pm, it was not exclusive to FB fans cos it was shown on BBC1 at 9pm (no delay there!) and it wasn't shown on BBC1 at 10.30pm as promised. Plus the 'making of' behind-the-scenes didn't really tell us much. Hope the real thing is not as disappointing.

  • Comment number 26.

  • Comment number 27.

Loved it thanks blog team :-) lovely to see Mr P again and everyone looked like they were having fun which was nice - I love it when we get to see some little interviews :-) Just can't wait for it to air now! Thanks again x

PS. Sinead - soooo much better than Pamela Anderson :-D

  • Comment number 28.

Hey there EE long time no blog How you been - any new vids in the offing?

  • Comment number 29.

Love the trailer! Great twist on the teasers, and says so much in just a few seconds about where they are as we go into the new season.

Will wait with bated breath for the behind-the-scenes bit to wend its way beyond the UK. Sounds like it's a fun one!

Thanks again for all you do. The run up to new episodes is so much more fun because of it.

  • Comment number 30.

    22. soz l8 reply ewan, fair enuff toby has a fuzzy chin (Gandalf has a PROPER Beard) but he could have shaved for the trailer.

Were George and Nina sharing the same set of teeth? - george seems to have lost his in the slowmo bit....

  • Comment number 31.

    loved it,loved,loved it.....wot else can i say!!!!
(yes im back finally,my poorly laptop as now been fixed..(well sort of..lol)
thankyou so much BHprod!! is there any chance of us gettin the start date,i think next sunday would be perfect...lol..
hope everyone had a great xmas and happy new year to u all!!.xxxx

  • Comment number 32.

Not sharing teeth - Just that his mouth was a open in a different way that made it look that he doesn't. Look again and again and well you get the idea.

  • Comment number 33.

Screaming like a girl! :) I can't wait for the date! Also I hope that the behind the scenes video will soon be on facebook or youtube. I was out shopping when I realized that the time difference meant that I didn't have to wait till 9:00pm to see the full trailer so I went to an apple store and used the ipads you can try out to watch the video and comment on the blog

  • Comment number 34.

Can someone please post this on youtube for us fan outside the UK so whem can see it aswell. Thanks

  • Comment number 35.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSoeX1Ymbf4 on youtube behind the scenes

  • Comment number 36.

@EWAN Thanks so much for posting the youtube link so I could see it here in the US.

  • Comment number 37.

    Your welcome.

  • Comment number 38.

Thanks Mr P I loved it

  • Comment number 39.

Can't wait for the series to start. Having been missing it soo.. much. Please tell us when so I can block my calendar off.

  • Comment number 40.

WOW! Thanks so much! Brill trailer! ant wait for the series to start, im really looking forward to it!
I did tune into BBC1 but was a bit upset that it wasnt on but then went on to BBC3 and was very happy to see the trailer. WELL DONE!

  • Comment number 41.

Ah, so that's where the trailer was. I was getting pelters from my children for being upset it wasn't on Beeb 1.
I can't wait to see the new house in Cardiff. Looks just like an ordinary semi in the blog clips. Can they make it as quirky as the Totterdown one?
Also thinking about their belongings which were left behind in Bristol (I presume as they left in rather a hurry). You turn up in Cardiff with no job, no home and just the clothes on your back. How do you manage?

  • Comment number 42.

BIG THANK YOU TO THE BH BLOG TEAM & OF COURSE MR P!!!

This has really made my rubbish day slightly better =)
Loving the new trailers, esp the show mo bits, gives great effect!
Got a feeling this season is gonna be epic & I cant wait!

  • Comment number 43.

wow that was really good!! well done to all the gang!! i think its really interesting that rather than doing a trailer with bits of the series cut together (hopefully we will get one of those soon as well) they chose to film entirely new stuff and just do a generalised trailer!! but i guess they did that last series as well!

and that is a very good point susanvass but i presume the prob went back for their stuff once the danger had passed??!! What does everyone else think??

    xx

  • Comment number 44.

very excited, is it just a bit sad being this excited at 42?

  • Comment number 45.

[15] thank you if we meet again on here i shall let you know how it is going

[43] i don't think they have much stuff. at the end of last series they seemed to have everything ok...

It looked like William Blake's "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell", which is interesting as, as far as I know, there are only 9 authentic hard-copies existent in the world; 5 of which are in the UK (1 in Bodleian Library, Oxford, and the other 4 are in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge). So, what library is Annie in?

  • Comment number 47.

it is the marriage of heaven and hell

  • Comment number 48.

    YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :oD
    Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment number 55.

    46. cheers urbanH, your attention 2 detail astounds me (My eyes focus better in daylight, but u filled in the other unknowns..)
Like the cat stevens track too.
Januarys looking better all the time..new series of shameless starts soon.

Anyone seen my olde fiend LBH on here lately?

  • Comment number 56.

I could hold it no longer. For some weird reason I'd had a nagging craving recently. Tonight I acted upon it. I ended up with a slab of delicious beef in my kitchen. It looked tasty uncooked, but a gentle seering, cut it open and it's pink. The blood ouzes out across my plate. Mmmmm....

Why would anyone go vegetarian? At the risk of going a bit Herrick, we are the top of the food chain boys and girls, and a bit of moo-cow is delicious. I am feeling the love George and Nina. Feeling it big time.

  • Comment number 57.

    56. WR you are a bad influence, I'm trying to stop feeling stuffed after all the excess festive stuffing and now i am salivating for a LARGE piece of juicy steak...........MMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

  • Comment number 58.

I like being bad! Although I had to exchange a top I bought the other day for a higher size with the post Christmas tyre taking effect, so maybe I should cut back... but I did well to resist the beef for so long! George and Nina have been teasing me with it for days now and I've been messing around eating birds. Birds! Tiny piddley birds.

Maybe that entire slab of Somerset Brie last night didn't help either... Definitely time to cut down.

Do you think vegetarians taste dull compared to meat-eaters? Where's a helpful vampire to ask when you need one?!

  • Comment number 59.

    58. hope the birds u eat r no smaller than a pigeon, I like a bit of game bird now and then!! was a rare treat; however as my nature dictates I usually get the REAL meaty-munchies once a month.

Cheese needs to be garlic enchanced, as im sure you'll appreciate why.

  • Comment number 60.

lycann and WR - I am a vegetarian and have been for 15 years! Your words cut like a rusty butchers blade, you beasts!

I've not heard from LBH in ages :( hoping for her return soon though.

If I was anymore excited about series 3 I would need institutionalised (?), and if I were to act upon my feelings I fear I would be arrested for lewd conduct. We need an air date!

  • Comment number 61.

    Just watched this...yusss!

For some reason I just assumed S3 would begin this Sunday, but pretty sure that's not going to happen! It's been rather hush hush in my magazines, which heavily advertised S2 last year, so I'll keep you posted when I buy my classy magazines tomorrow hehe!

    Hope all is good!

  • Comment number 62.

Live in the US and can't view trailer because it's not available -- it's so frustrating!

  • Comment number 63.

    Rose scroll up to 35

  • Comment number 64.

I wish this series would just hurry up and start =[ Seems like i have been waiting for years jus to watch the first episode of the third series of Being Human...

    It's just unfair =[

  • Comment number 65.

[60] i'm a vegetarian too jsut wanted to share
[64] i know!! when oh when will it start?

  • Comment number 66.

A little bird told me it was Lenora's birthday today so Happy Birthday Lenora! If it isn't then I am suitably ashamed... xx

  • Comment number 67.

when nina and george do their trailer bit, nina looks more werewolfish george just looks a sigin stange

  • Comment number 68.

happy birthday lenora! if it is indeed today

  • Comment number 69.

59 - Lycan666 - smallest bird I think I've eaten is chicken. Xmas we ate cockerill. Really delicious. And big. How big's a partridge? I've had the odd game bird or two too. Quite frankly, there isn't a mammal I wouldn't eat. In the state of a natural disaster I would eat my cat. She's a bit fatty, but hey. I can't drive past a field of livestock without licking my lips. Lambs look delicious. Not a fan of garlic mind you... would never contaminate my cheese with the stuff!

60 and 65 - Laurar and Annie - so you don't mind watching humans being munched on but you cringe at the thought of shaun the sheep fulfilling his life's potential? Animals are born to be eaten; to deny them that you let them down. We meateaters give them *life*... hmm. I'm going a bit Herrick again.

Is it worth noting that humans are mammals and the statement above still stands? in a disaster situation, of course. You are all welcome to eat me too if it means you might live.

  • Comment number 70.

i've been brought up as a vegetarian all my family are vegetarian so they would cook meat or have meat in the house i have no problem with other people eating meat i'm just uncomfortable with it.
You are sounding quite like Herrick.
Cannibalism (i know that is spelt worng before anyone starts) is just creepy.

  • Comment number 71.

I'm sorry Annie. I have no idea how to spell it - don't really think of it like that in a disaster situation. Perhaps my parents let me watch that place-crash film too early on in my life.
My brother went veggie for one of his ex's and he's never turned back, except last christmas when we forgot and cooked the roast potatoes in goose fat: he said they were the most delicious potatoes he'd eaten in years and asked to know what variety they were!
My problem is is that I don't like the taste of anything green. Potatoes are one of only five veg I'll eat. It's that trailer, it's unleashed the meat-loving animal in me. Seriously I had been craving that beef since I first saw it.

  • Comment number 72.

now i want potatoes! i would hate to be in a disaster situation. When i watch those things on tv where there is a superbug or something that wipes everyone out and therre are like 6 people left in the whole world i think i would rather die than be left alone it would be horrible

  • Comment number 73.

I can't watch the majority of films like that! Freaks me out too much. I can only cope with BH because I don't believe in ghosts, werewolves, vampires, etc; if it were human anger and aggression I wouldn't be able to cope.
My work means I deal daily with disasters (today I did a bit of Haiti and a lot of Pakistan) so perhaps I am more blasé, and practical in thinking that I would want my family to live no matter what that meant they had to eat or drink. So long as no murder is involved...
I have always had a terribly dark sense of humour and tend to overstep the line of good taste.
Potatoes are most delicious, not as great as milk chocolate of course... why did Mitchell just pop into my head when I thought about chocolate?! mmmmm....

  • Comment number 74.

i just keep watching it over and over and over..........its looking like its guna be nearer the end of the month when it starts tho...booooo.its not this sunday anyway which is wot i was hoping for.. hope its the 16th....all this waiting is not good for my health...lol.x

  • Comment number 75.

me neither i try to avoid them but my flatmate seems to like them .. maybe he likes annoying me
your work sounds really interesting and i am really unpractical shoes over food anyday! :)
Dark sense of humour not good in some social situations i'm sure your already a ware but just in case thought i'd warn you
ok stop it now i want milk chocolate and i just have an image of mitchell in my head.... actually i don't mind that bit

  • Comment number 76.

Just want to join others in wishing the lovely Lenora a happy birthday.

Re when BH3 likely to be aired...it's loking more and more like late Jan as schedules for BBC1 and 3 published for next two weeks and no sign. Ah well..it all adds to the anticipation!

  • Comment number 77.

75 - hmm, yes in my several decades of life I have firmly established my sense of humour is too much for some people to stomach. Sorry.
My work is interesting, but not interesting enough to stop me from wanting to do the ole masters!
Shoes vs Food? FOOD every time. My feet are rubbish and I have to wear lace-up shoes just to keep me upright. It means I have never developed the female shoe thing, more a generic sense of loathing and awkwardness about shoe shopping. I don't like shopping at all unless it's for other people come to think about it...

  • Comment number 78.

well your never happy with what you've got i suppose. I mean i'm doing medicine and somehow have got myself involved in the local amatuer dramatics costume department... still not entirely sure how.
Shoes win everytime! I always pop home to mums for food she doesn't mind ... i don't think. Shopping is, despite having no money, a daily thing for me i live to close to the high street in the city centre methinks

  • Comment number 79.

flippin nora! And you think I'm working hard? Med school is no piece of cake! I watched my brother go through it and I knew I could never work as hard as him. Big respect to you. I hope it all goes well! I guess the am-dram is a bit of relief for your brain... until you realise you have to make a Tudor dress!! At least its not as complicated as anatomy and physiology or remembering all the different illnesses, their symptoms, the drugs.
Well done you! Seriously intelligent! =)

  • Comment number 80.

thank you i feel so important suddenly...
Yes they said tudor dress i though why did i say i'd do this?
Still it is better than winding up on A&E think casualty only ten times worse

  • Comment number 81.

Just Popping in to Pass on Birthday wishes to Lenora Hope you have a good one.

  • Comment number 82.

Happy Birthday Lenora! I've been thinking that BBC probably wont want to air being human uk to close to the date that being human syfy is aired. They said on twitter that apperantly its a total secret about the air date, not even sinead knows!

  • Comment number 83.

my brother taught me not to watch casualty a long time ago!

You are important. You're gonna save lives when you grow up! It's a humbling thought.

  • Comment number 84.

[83] casualty is terrible but strangely good for revision

    that is actually quite scary

[82] when is being human syfy aired? normally form the 'coming soon' trailer till the airing date is about two weeks or it is for most bbc things

  • Comment number 85.

{64} I have to agree with you there!
{77} I perefer food as well,im not shoe person. I was so impressed when i had to buy a pair of boots as my converse got ruined (the horror)and they had heels that i could walk in them. =D
Anyways...saw the traier again last night on BBC3 is that a sign that its to come in the next few weeks?
Hope the date gets released soon or I wont be able to concerntrate with my studies!

Happy birthday Lenora, have a good one!!!

  • Comment number 86.

85 - my converse are on the brink... they are ripped and the soles completely worn down I can feel every stone under them, despite having to wear inserts. I am planning on replacing them with fair-trade pumps in the late spring - I'm in walking shoes at the mo for warmth! I am seriously impressed with the heel usage! my inserts don't allow gradients thankfully!

I am with Annie (84). BBC runs the "coming soon" ads for about 7-10days and then give you the date. I reckon Sunday 16th. When I am out at a gig. Thank TV for freeview+ boxes.

  • Comment number 87.

freeview plus boxes are brill and THE TRAILER HAS JUST BEEN ON!!! sorry wasn't expecteing it

[85] way to go with the heels!

  • Comment number 88.

Do you think they didn't tell us a date so we keep going to the website to find out?

  • Comment number 89.

OHHHHH! Thank you warwickshire_rose {86} you have just made me the happiest girl alive!! If its whatou have just said and it comes out the 16th then Its 1 day before my birthday! It would be the best birthday pressie ever!
Im sorry about your converse but its good that your thinking of getting fair trade pumps in spring!

  • Comment number 90.

    [88] maybe

    [89] best. birthday. present. ever!

  • Comment number 91.

oh but lozzie_lo I am merely speculating on Annie's very astute observation! My instinct has been Jan 16th right from mid-November when I booked my tickets but I am not psychic and not at all informed by anything other than currently Hamlet Act 2 Scene 2, which, as you may imagine, has nothing to do with Being Human!
I hope for your birthday's sake that it is around there! That'd be a good present.
I have felt very guilty about my sweat-shop converses since I bought them 7 years ago, so I was determined to wear them out and soon I will do the honourable shoe purchase to alleviate my guilt next time around!

  • Comment number 92.

why hamlet? (by the way John Simm was a very good Hamlet if your interested)

Good for you faitrade is very good
    i've never really liked converse

  • Comment number 93.

Yeah the middle of jan seems about right for new programmes to start. Your converses lasted a long time!My freind had a pair last year and she killed them, mine have lasted 2 summers but tragicially got ruined in Shanghai (i was heartbroken) they were the only shoes i really loved!
ANYWAY...lets just hope that series 3 comes out in 12 days time!Oh yes im going to start to count down the days!

  • Comment number 94.

Ill just count down hoping that itdoe come out then... oh well if not... Ill wait for the next sunday and hope its then. I am obessed with BH!

  • Comment number 95.

They should release a being human calender so we can count down the days till the s3 starts. It would be rather short though...

  • Comment number 96.

i'll join you in the countdown! I am also obsessed with BH
    unhealthily so i think ...

  • Comment number 97.

92 - Hamlet act 2 scene 2 has one of the few Elizabethan references to touring acting companies by a member of an acting company and I am researching an essay on acting companies motivations behind touring.

I am a member of my local company, and I shovel all my play-going investment into them, so cannot afford to see Simm. We do ok for Hamlets though. Last one I saw was excellent, but the audience felt like a sci-fi convention.

93 - shoes last longer when you have a desk job! =)

  • Comment number 98.

and that comes to mind while discussing being human? I managed to get tickets for the public dress rehearsal they were like £1

  • Comment number 99.

Well I only watched parts of BH last seris as I didnt really knbow what it was but then I got the DVDs just after chistmas and thats all i have watched! I think my obsessions also unhealthy...

  • Comment number 100.

yeah when i'm checking the blog evry two seconds to see whether we have a date yet or whether anyone has managed to get a date yet -not good
