New to BH? This post does not contain spoilers, but the comments might...

Having been on set for a few days now, we here at BH Blog Towers think there's something you should know... A bored Russell Tovey is a dangerous Russell Tovey.

Seriously, once the man gets an idea into his head he just can't let go of it, and this week his latest obsession is Being Human action figures. He's chatting to anyone and everyone about trying to get himself a mini-George and co for his mantelpiece, and he wanted a word with you guys, the online fans, about the his idea.

Naturally, I said you lot were ultra-creative and would have some great suggestions, so come on blog fans, show Russell what you're made of and tell him your best action figure ideas!

He's waiting to hear your thoughts...

Nice one Russell....but I only have one idea.....please make them life-size. (playing with yourself indeed!!)

  • Comment number 2.

    And anatomically correct....obviously

  • Comment number 3.

    LOL!
I think that's a great idea, Russell. Maybe make them as articulate as the Torchwood dolls, they're very well made.
However, the only problem with Being Human and Torchwood action figures would be that they're only sold in specialist fan shops like Forbidden Planet in Cardiff. The average fan would have to travel a long distance just to find one unless they ordered online, which isn't suitable for everyone. Or would have to go to Conventions.
Well, if Russell's dream does come true, I'll be the first one going to the fan shop!

  • Comment number 4.

Oh, yes! I was in a chat room with another BH fan, and we came up with ideas for an entire BH action figure line!

  • Comment number 5.

Right Tovey this better be a good video or your in big trouble lol gonna nip to pub use the wi fi because I'm back home and well you all know my internets useless (grr) really though action figures? Was going to say something about playing with Russell but maybe I shouldn't...or have I just done anyway. Oh its been a long morning lol.

Ok just read comments and vampfan beat me to it anyway :-P anatomically correct? You can already get them VF - little shop called anne summers I believe lol.

  • Comment number 6.

Oh and also Toby likes that line doesn't he "they should make an action figure out of you" its in his episode of Torchwood too...

  • Comment number 7.

Aaaahhh... I wish I could watch this! Post to Youtube! Will it come with a kung-fu grip? I need to know.

  • Comment number 8.

    KAPOW! Hi guys.

This video will be coming to YouTube v.soon, as will all the other BH2 videos. I'll let you know when it's up.

JaredofMO (Comment 4) what were your ideas?? Do share...

  • Comment number 9.

Got chatting in pub didn't like to say that "sorry I'm only here to see Russell" lol its a good little video :-) hmm action figures yeah George with interchangable heads I like that :-), Annie with free box of PG tips and kettle accessory lol, Mitchell erm fags and a box of crunchy nut cornflakes? or chocolate biscuits? Ooh they should make a model of the car - I do love the car :-) Gilbert with a branch and somehow the ability to dance :-) Herrick and Seth - they have to make a Herrick and a Seth :-D

  • Comment number 10.

Wahey BHproduction dropped in hiya :-) so when am I delivering these party rings? :-)

  • Comment number 11.

BHProduction- Yay!!!! You just made this So-Cal gal's day :-D Love love love it! Now off to work...

  • Comment number 12.

eagle (5) Why do I need to go to Ann Summers?? My request for anatomical correctness was purely to help with my vampire research... and has absolutely nothing to do with what I saw on Tuesdays Des Roms.
    Tut tut....shame on you.

Just watched this little vid. again...is'nt Russell an absolute joy?

  • Comment number 13.

Lol of course of course vampfan :-)

Ooh ooh ooh can we have talking action figures? My woody and Buzz from toy story talk lol (yeah thats how long since I've bought toys :-S)

George: "worlds gayest ningas" "who wants some of my chair?!" etc etc

  • Comment number 14.

eagle_eyes4- Yes! I love it. To add to the quote list- George: "Oh my god, has everyone taken stupid pills?" Now I must really get to work.

  • Comment number 15.

Now, ..you see "infintey and beyond."(as much as I adore Buzz)..and "Where do I belong?" no....

But having said that.....I couldn't agree more, some brilliant lines::

    Stupid pills.
    Youv'e wandered off the path.
    Have you got a hole?.
    You're a shark..be a shark.
    Where am I Fleur?

Could go on all night...but would only be saying what everybody else knows by heart already.

But if the team do listen to us do and make the dolls a) life size b) anantomically correct c) talking. Can I please have a vampire that says "Vampfan...I have waited for you all my life...and I love you more than I love Lizzy Siddels"....oh hang on...got a bit confused now

  • Comment number 16.

    Siddels???....Sidalls...who knows?

  • Comment number 17.

Ooh! Yeah make action figures!! I don't know how easy it would be to make fangs for Mitchell. Maybe it would be easier for his eyes to change to black?

Mitchellsangel (3): you can get action figures and most other merchandise from Amazon. So if you wouldn't have to travel a long way. ;)

  • Comment number 18.

Lol VF you do make me laugh :-) but a quick question blog team - if we do you know conribute to the making of these action figures will we be entitled to a freebie? :-D if so I bagsy the George one :-)

  • Comment number 19.

Oh one more thing! On Mitchell's action figure he should definitely be wearing the checked shirt that he often wears. Pretty please? :P

  • Comment number 20.

Why is everyone concentrating on Mitchell's fangs.....last thing I was thinking about.

eagle:: What is a George freebie??

cieria:: The yellow t-shirt for me plaese

  • Comment number 21.

Definately think they should be talking ones though I think my personal favourites would be...(assuming that these are for us not for kids lol hence the *'s)

George: "who wants some of my chair" "we're like the worlds gayest ningas" "I think I actually just let out a bit of wee there" "I killed it...with a shoe" "oh my god has everybody taken stupid pills?!" "Ive always been, no I'm not, I, and please, no, do not call it getting laid, with Nina it's more...poetic...oh yes very funny the werewolf's a romantic!" "you smell like a polo...have you got a hole?"

Mitchell: "I have ecclectic taste" (which has taken on whole new meaning since BH lol) "you're a spy aren't you?! I mean you've clearly had training because the way you held it together back there it was...chilling!" "Can't believe Bernie's never heard of Laurel and Hardy - immortality can make you feel so old" (one of my favourite lines not just because I love the way Aidan says Laurel and Hardy lol) "not a date in a pub, not a date in a restaurant or not a date in another date like situation?...and on this 'non date' are you planning on breaking it to her that you cross dress?"

Annie: "congratulations on mastering the whole speaking like a **** thing" "It was like being attacked by an ironing board" "are we actually having gilbert fun yet?"

I tried to restrict myself to 3/4 per character or else I could be here all day lol but there's a whole list on the forum :-) oh and I went a little over with Georges lol he has so many brilliant lines

  • Comment number 22.

Lol VF very funny...well whatever a George freebie is I think I want one lol.

Mitchell should have interchangable jackets he has so many...and a hat :-P or those things that if you get them really cold/hot they change colour lol because all his jackets are pretty much the same but different colours :-)

Woah mega long post before sorry about that its been a while since I did one of those :-S

  • Comment number 23.

eagle:: after your 21 (a eagle epic we have not seen for a while) you deserve what ever bit of George you want, freebie or otherwise.
Some fab reminders of some fab lines. Nice

  • Comment number 24.

Well, that is me for tonight...I am going out!!!...it is what I used to do before BH/AT took over my life.

    Be good ...don't get arrested/modded.

    Talk soon.

    Night night

  • Comment number 25.

Lol thanks VF ahem did you hear that Russell? :-D ...going out? I think I remember that..it certainly rings a bell...no can't quite remember what it entails though lol have fun whatever you're doing :-)

  • Comment number 26.

Yes, there should be Being Human action figures or better yet, dolls.

They've just brought out dolls of Edward and Bella from Twilight and BH would be so much better.

  • Comment number 27.

How utterly and unquestionably cool is Russell?! And, of course, how cool are you too for always keeping us so involved, BeingHumanProduction! MWAH! We love ya!

Hehe, my friend JaredOfMO (comment #4) already mentioned our little discussion a couple of weeks ago about an entire action figure line up... so here's a link to our eventual agreement on the whole thing (hope you don't mind me jumping in JD)...

    http://thebluewhalepub.com/viewtopic.php?f=310&t=8307

:D Subject to tweakings of course. I'm loving the idea of the action figures talking though, eagle-eyes!

    Cya! KC

  • Comment number 28.

Nah nah nah action figures are cooooooool lol but dolls...not so much - can just imagine Russell trying to chat someone up "hey, er you know there's an action figure of me...yeah cos I'm allllll action baby" *wink wink* lol rather than "you look familiar...yeah I know I bought my 3 year old niece one of you for her birthday" lol
(And yes I think perhaps the quality of chat up lines I've had experience with and the fact I am now single may well be linked lol)

  • Comment number 29.

Wahey blue whale people - I tried going on that site back in the day before our forum but it confused me lol (it doesn't take much :-P)

  • Comment number 30.

Russell baby...it's so much more fun playing with others than playing with yourself...moving swiftly on...
Yes to action hero dolls being anatomically correct and talking and great lines from eagle for the talk part...I would add in for a Herrick doll ( I miss him!) the line " back in the day.."
Assuming they would be doll size I turn my thoughts to the actual mechanics. For George and Mitchell their 'special features' could be inside them ( an inner doll) and revealed....
George: His clothes would come off (naturally) and I'm attracted to the idea of squeezing his bum in order to allow human George to split down middle/open up and out would pop werewolf George...both could play together before werewolf pops back into human George who comes back intact.
Mitchell: even more attracted to idea of squeezing the bum of doll Mitchell...this would allow vampire Mitchell with eyes and fangs to be revealed.
Annie..no inner doll here but she could be squeezed in some way or other which immediately makes her transport herself to elsewhere in the room...or possibly to the kitchen where she can get the brew on.

Of course they would need a new wardrobe each (think of the money to be made here BH team !) which would involve some new clothes for Annie to go on over lovely grey outfit, the lovely orange number George was put off from wearing on his non-date, and denim/leather jackets for Mitchell

  • Comment number 31.

Aww, if you ever want to come back to the Pub, you come and find me Eagle-Eyes, I'll look after you. *hug*
What is/was your username on there hunny?

  • Comment number 32.

WOW you put a lot of thought into that it almost makes our "erm yeah what russell said" comments to shame lol that website still confuses me though :-S

  • Comment number 33.

Hahaha ahhh brown that cracked me up lol *not to self* don't crack out laughing at random comment online when there are people in the room...and definately - when asked "whats so funny?" don't reply with mumblings of "Russell playing with himself" etc lol ohhh dear.

  • Comment number 34.

Thanks KC I don't remember if I had one - if I did it would have been some variation of my username on here but not sure I actually signed up think I just had a quick look around and decided it was too technical for me and came back here :-)

  • Comment number 35.

KC just had a quick click around the site (still confuses me lol) but you're considering going to the convention? I really want to go - there were a few of us off here considering it (the guest list is amazing isn't it?!) just money really and also the fact that the word convention kinda conjures images of loads of middle aged men escaping their mothers basement for a few days all donning spock ears lol which is a slightly worrying image :-S

  • Comment number 36.

Brownirisheyes... I LURVE your cheeky idea for revealing the "inner figures". LMAO If they made those, I'm sure they've be very *popular* and Russell would adore that, I'm sure! You've got some supercool ideas there! *hugz*

Hehe, thats funny Eagle-Eyes 'cause I find this kind of layout confusing (I mean, how the heck do you find one particular post in such a sea of chatter without separate headings?! LOL). But the offer stands if you want to come and join us madheads at the Pub sometime. ;)
Hee, and thanks about the ideas - JD and I spent, oh, two or three hours just chattering back and forth randomly before we settled on those. :D But who wouldn't want a model of the house with the figures to put in it? lmao

Well, thats me done for tonight folks. I've got to get stuff done before BH comes on tonight (half an hour to go! Wheeee!). WEREWOLVES RULE! AROOOooo!
    ;) KC

  • Comment number 37.

Hehe well you don't - you just kinda chat on the last one lol its kind of easier on the forum but then the BH team have no chance to read all our fabulous and not at all pointless conversaions lol

  • Comment number 38.

Well, KinkyClawz did a good job of sharing, then...

  • Comment number 39.

Oh fine Eagle. Abandon us for this other forum. :(

  • Comment number 40.

Lol haven't abandonned just had a quick butchers :-)

  • Comment number 41.

Just haven't really had time to do forumy stuff lately sorry :-S but hey I'm still here so you can't have missed me that much lol

  • Comment number 42.

lol don't worry. I was joking. No one's really coming on that much at the moment anyway.

  • Comment number 43.

Aaaahhh... just when I think I could watch these blog videos on Youtube I find that I'm still locked out. Oh what a cruel world wide web we live in. On the brighter side it's nice to see some familiar faces from the blue whale pub. Hi Jared and KC. Well I better go before all the shops close.

  • Comment number 44.

Hmm. Action George should, I think, look a great deal like Russell does in the promo pics: dressed normally, but with his shirt rent at the left shoulder and the welts from the werewolf attack clearly visible.

For extra awesome, make Action George's head removable and package the figure with a werewolf head, so the user can swap out the heads. Presto: George-as-werewolf! Character Options did this with the most recent Fourth Doctor action figure: one Tom Baker head with hat, one without hat.

    http://www.character-online.com/products/Doctor-Who-Classics/

As a bonus, the spare Tom Baker head can be swapped on to other action figures, leading to HOURS of surreal fun.

    http://www.paulcornell.com/2009/07/uses-for-spare-tom-baker-head.html

  • Comment number 45.

There definitely needs to be a shirtless George in blue jeans figure (like before the fight with Herrick). I agree with the other posters who said George action figures need the hideous orange shirt and the torn shirt & the claw scars.

I'm all for any doll that involves squeezing George's butt and all his clothes coming off. If that's the one that's life-sized and anatomically correct, so be it.

If we're doing accessories, shouldn't George come with a whisk and cell phone charger?

Talking Mitchell has to say "George, get your lead," and "I'm sensing a trip to IKEA and you know my feelings on that."

Changing eyes for both Mitchell & George (borrowing Brownirisheyes pushbutton idea) where you press something and their eyes change from human to Vampire Black or Werewolf Yellow.

The Annie figure needs to say just about anything she said while practicing haunting Owen, particularly "Confesssssssssss" I'd love it if she could say "I was taking out the recycling and this guy shouted, SLAG!" That's my favorite line from Annie(episode 1 when she's talking about people seeing her all the time).

  • Comment number 46.

Haha graygazol my fellow Russell fan :-)

Yeah as he said I'm a fan of anything involving squeezing Georges bum but I'm pretty sure thats not what Russell had in mind for his acion figure...although maybe theres potential for another rubbish chat up line there lol

  • Comment number 47.

Reading back.....squeezing bodily bits (on the dolls of course) seems to be the way we are going...can I say for the record, I am happy to squeeze whatever bit I am instructed....well, not really Annie....I love you loads but don't think I could bring myself to squeeze...well anything youv'e got really.

ecurve(44) Yes agree, got to go with some sort of marking on George's left shoulder.

  • Comment number 48.

Oh my giddy God..first BBC1 now action figures..noooooooo! Although rather like the idea of life size Mitchell figure with the words programmed in as "I felt something..did you feel anything?" ooh yes!

  • Comment number 49.

driving...."I felt something...etc", are you trying to send me right round the twist??...as you so eloquently put it 'Oh my giddy God'.

  • Comment number 50.

Sorry Vampfan I came over quite unnecessary then ..It's all Russell's fault!

  • Comment number 51.

driving:: AT...you know my feelings about that ....but Russell... absolutely adorable, you are forgiven

  • Comment number 52.

Yeh it's the weekend.....and vino time!
Losing the plot for a while on action dolls...
Lol to eagle and for comments (33 and 36)..hadn't realised there was another BH forum...
Kinkyclawz..had a look at the Blue Whale site..HUGH RESPECT for your fiction writing baby (Aftermath and And Then What)...no idea how you have the time to put such creative thoughts together and online.
Question: is there actually a Blue Whale Pub complete with net access? ( forgive ignorance )..
Eagle..I thought you said you lived in the sticks but you have this Pub on your doorstep...?..with access to talents such as kinkyclawz?
Thought on Bluewhale site...agree with eagle that it's not that easy to navigate..(colours of backdrops don't help)..find this BBC site easier...also easy to pick up threads from previous blogs as all accessible below

ok..onto 2nd glass of vino now ( well, Man is cookng so no concerns) and turning back to action dolls... and no doubt losing the plot again..
What about mini ipods for them to listen to as accessories ? ( I am much more of a music/dance babe than weapons of attack etc)
They are supposed to be twenty somethings and yet none of them have ipods...please!
Have some thought on what our fab 3 might be listening to if anyone wants to know/hasn't totally given up on me by now

  • Comment number 53.

I thought about BH-themed teddies; the George one can 'grow' the fangs and claws when squeezed as I think there used to be a series of teddies years ago that were 'were-bears'?
I'm trying to figure out money for the con, I'll know if I can go or not by the end of this month. I had no idea there were any set up for the show yet! I'm excited to see the actors' talks on stage; everyone think up really good qus to ask them.
I have been to a few events before but this will be my first BH one. I wonder if they would choose Bristol in the future (assuming more BH cons)?

  • Comment number 54.

Haven't got time tonight to read all comments but love the vids. I envisage a Seth doll with his catch phrase, you know the one guys ;) I'd so buy that. x

  • Comment number 55.

I haven't yet picked up the DVD, I read on a DVD site a review someone mentioned and was hoping you could confirm for me the DVD has different music in the eps? The background music bits I mean, that match what the characters are doing in the scenes. I don't understand why a DVD release would need to change background music? Or did I read that wrong?
If someone who has the DVD could let me know asap then I'll be able to get it for myself. I like the choices of music put into eps of BH (they suit the moods of scenes well) and want the same on the DVD I'm paying the brand-new price for.

  • Comment number 56.

Oh wow! Leonora baby!? *huggles tightly* More 'Pubbers - whee! :P

Ohhh, Graygazol you have a fantastic idea there. Your notion of a half-naked George complete with scars is utterly yumsome! Why didn't we think of that?! LOL However, JD and I suggested the whisk and mobile phone charger for the George/Nina set (Set 2, if I remember rightly) - hee, you're on our wavelength hunny! To quote my favourite werewolf, "Hooray for us!"

lol the Squeezable Annie (and presumably a squeezable Lauren and Nina) would be appealing to the fellas, Vampfan. ;) "No-one gets left behind." I'm full of quotes tonight. Yikes. *hugz Vampfan for no apparent reason than she's bubbling over with BH lurve*

Thankyou for such high praise, Brownirisheyes! I'm flattered you like my fanfic, hunny. *hugz happily* Sadly, I don't have the time to write as much as I'd like which is why there's such an interminable wait between chapters for my lovely supporters. (Psst, are you our new poster, perchance?)

*claps excitedly* Loopymouse, I adore werebears - they're so cute and cuddly! But a George one would be indescribably awesome! maybe a cuddly Mitchell one too where you start off with him and his heart-melting smile the turn his head inside out and it makes a cuddly ebony-eyed, befanged vampire. ^^ How would an Annie one work, though? :( Turn her body inside out to change her clothing?
*bounces* Please please let me know if you can go, hunnies. I'd love to get to meet up with more fans I've 'spoken' to online. Plus, I adore conventions but they're so much more fun to share. ;)

I did wonder why the con wasn't held in Bristol to begin with. Maybe they're seeing how popular an initial one is before the book an annual venue for us to go to year upon year? LOL

Eep... i've waffled enough. I'll go and get more coffee and settle down. ;)
*hugz everyone, including the lovely BeingHumanProductions and Russell then scampers off to the kettle*
    KC

  • Comment number 57.

Oops, sorry Loopymowse, I spelt your username wrong. I'm sorry, I lapsed in my excitement.
    Forgive me?
    KC

  • Comment number 58.

Ohhh, Eagle-Eyes! I missed your post earlier (#35)!
And I quote "KC just had a quick click around the site (still confuses me lol) but you're considering going to the convention?"
Not just considering, sweetie, I AM going whether my bank manger likes it or not! Mwahaha! I bought my ticket a few months ago, but I've not sorted out my accommodation and travel arrangements yet.

    ^^ KC

  • Comment number 59.

I was thinking, does anyone remember play doh? they use to have 'scary' monsters that oozed doh when you squeezed them. You could have a George doll that you squeezed and pushed hair out, then popped back in. Or Mitchell could have action eyes, that went from human to vamp. And an Annie doll, that had electricity jumping from her hands, I'm sure that would be popular in the play ground for zapping each other!

  • Comment number 60.

    > How would an Annie one work, though?

The "Incredibles" action figures had a solution: they had Regular Violet and Invisible Violet, the latter of which was molded out of clear plastic.

  • Comment number 61.

Argh just wrote a whole long message (I'm talking a proper eagle epic eith replies to everyone) and my laptop decided to crash not impressed...will reply later for now I'm going to throw computer out the window lol

    Anyway evening all.

  • Comment number 62.

    Ooh I found it...
Evening all wow lots of comments! Firstly my nan is hooked on being human since it started on bbc1 which meant we could have a very in depth conversation about it today which was fun and I'm not letting her borrow my dvd she has to wait a week like we all did but so excited cos she'll love episode 3! So yay BH team - my nan doesn't really go for "old" programs well apart form deal or no deal but I think she has the hots for Noel Edmonds so thats besides the point but still...the lady has taste :-)

Secondly KC you write fan fiction? You seen the stuff on LJ? I've got a couple of bits up under a different username (no one post it on here please...I have my reasons lol) its not really my strong point but there are some other really awesome pieces of writing on there.

Thirdly convention - so if I do decide to go I'll know someone that'll be good - not sure if I will though - still conjures images of men in spock ears lol although maybe this will be more mad teenage fan girls with plastic fangs and black contact lenses lol.

And last but not least - you're all going on about squeezing Mitchell and Annies bits and bobs lol does this mean that Russell is left for me and Graygazol to fight over? :-D because I'm pretty sure Graygazol is from the states (yeah?) so I quite fancy my chances...well apart from the whole being female thing but still :-)

  • Comment number 63.

Lol phew that was lucky :-D

  • Comment number 64.

    >If we're doing accessories, shouldn't George come with a whisk and >cell phone charger?

:D Absolutely, though I'm not sure whether a tiny cell phone charger would be recognizable as such. The whisk would be great, though.

I stand by my swappable-heads idea. Just think of what one could do with a spare Russell Tovey head! Find yourself an action figure wearing Navy togs, and presto! Instant Midshipman Alonzo Frame action figure! Find an action figure in Victorian threads, and voila! Instant John Chivery! Have the world's largest collection of Russell Tovey action figures!

Oh, and if the action figures have sound, all I want George to say is 1) "WHO WANTS SOME OF MY CHAIR?!?" and 2) the girly scream.

  • Comment number 65.

If you're on facebook check out the Being Human quiz http://apps.facebook.com/being-human-q-bbjfed/?start=1&target=home

  • Comment number 66.

    Eagle-eyes:
YAY for your super-cool nan! She's now officially a legend!

LMAO Honestly, the folks who go to conventions are the nicest, kindest and most fantastic bunch of people you could ever, EVER meet so you'd be as safe as Houses. ;) Costumery isn't essential for the ones I've been to though many of the ones I've seen were amazing - and this probably isn't a cos-play (costume player) so you'll be safe from Spock ears, I'd think, until the parties at night. :P

In fact my mates and I went to the last London Expo dressed as (a slightly skewed version of) the Trio! Skewed because I baggsied George, my mate Mrs T went as Mitchell and her wonderful, brave husband went as Annie... chestage and all. ;) They changed out of their costumes at lunchtime so I didn't manage to get a group pic of all three of us together... pah! Plus we had a few costume disasters - my fangs didn't quite work out (the upper right one went wobbly and kept falling out for no apparent reason so I had to take them out in case I lost them), my shoulder scars stuck to my shirt and came off and the claws were too long so I couldn't even get a drink of water.... but the golden eyes were AMAZING! ;) I surprised the actor James Bradley (he plays Arthur in Merlin and was utterly fascinating) with them - he was so sweet about it! And get this... FOUR people knew who I'd gone as, even without the claws and fangs. It seems BH and merlin fandom go hand in claw. ;) *pauses* and now I sound like a total geek! Yay me! lmao.

Hehe, and yep, I do write BH fanfiction, hunny, but I'm only sharing it on two sites for now - being-human.tv and the official Vampire High forum. ;) I've not seen the LJ group I don't think... could you provide a little linky perhaps?

Can I join the fray for the squeezable George, please?

Ecurve: MWAH! I love that idea of yours for the interchangable heads babe! And between you and me (and all the bloggers here) I think Russell would be thrilled with the idea of a number of action figures. LOL Bless him!

Leonora: Ooh, thankyou! MWAH!! *scampers off to be a happy little geek and try out the quiz*

    *hugz all 'round!*
    KC

I think the were-bears were black and purple coloured? The Annie-bear could have the jacket change around as the series 1 BH eps showed how it could be worn differently to echo Annie’s mood eg hood up when she felt low in confidence. All look cute because teddy bears do ;-)
I think the company are using a particular venue location they have used before for their other cons so they are happy with it. At the moment they would like to attract more interest for the con but as I’m not a member of places such as Facebook, Twitter, or LJ all I can do to spread the word is post about the con and TV show through my emails with people. I recruited viewers from the US, they watch the BBCAmerica channel 8-)
Do we need to start a new discussion for the BH con? BH merchandise eg action figures is kind of related to cons, there might be dealers at the con selling BH merchandise. I’d like to get a door-sized BH poster!
Anyone wants to ask me con queries, feel free to and I’ll try my best to answer them, having attended cons run by various companies for a number of years now I feel I can compare and contrast cons. I attended a signing event and a con by the company who are organising the BH con, I’m confident they will provide a good weekend for attendees.
It’s frustrating having to wait for the end of the month, only one week to go, then I can make my ticket order. My computer crashed in July so I have to pay out for a new one. I’m currently using a laptop to visit the site.
Don’t worry how you type my name! I can see you mean me :-)
I hope there are still rooms left at the venue location hotel :-o I’m very late learning news of the con because the computer crashed when it did. I would like to stay the Friday and Saturday nights but travel home on the Sunday evening.
If people from this board going to the con would like to meet up I would be nervously-excited to meet them. I can’t recognise faces so need others’ help to meet up with them. I will post here when I have a definite decision I can go to the con (next weekend) and we can arrange.

All this Con talk is making me jealous. I'm just a few too many miles away and just as many dollars short to go. To all who do go make sure to the "Mexican Wave" for Russell.

  • Comment number 69.

oops that last part should of been "... to do the 'Mexican Wave' for Russell."

  • Comment number 70.

What about giving the Michell action figure several points of articulation.
What about a changeo head like the Tom Baker one that they had out a while ago for Russell, like pre-transformation head and mid-transformation head
Mind you, if they plan a Tully action figure they are going to need several points of articulation for the figure also
As for the Annie figure, what about having one of the bits you get with it be a cup of tea
Hey leonora619, speaking of facebook groups don't forget the George one
'George the Neurotic Werewolf from Being Human is great'
(Yes, I know.Shameless promotion of one's own group, but hey)

  • Comment number 71.

Well the yanks gave Russell kisses its a british show so we're obliged to step it up lol....mars bars? Ooh get your minds out of the gutter :-)

  • Comment number 72.

Ahaa he is the greatest salesman in the world!
    I love the idea :)
I think it would be really cool if they all came with a little something, like Annie and a little cup of tea etc.
That be so nice, would be really good if they all had changable heads.
    George- Himself, Werewolf.
Annie- Herself, and the violet eyes when she's haunting?
Mitchell- Himeself, and vampire teeth and black eyes.

I dunno just such a good idea nicee on :)

  • Comment number 76.

the mitchell doll has to have the fingerless gloves. and by the way, what's w/the fingerless gloves? is it a UK fashion thing? being a yank, i don't always get the cultural subtleties.

This video will be coming to YouTube v.soon, as will all the other BH2 videos. I'll let you know when it's up.

Is there anyway you can make the YouTube videos available for those in the US? *batts eyes* Please, Please, Pleeeease! I absolutely love this show, and I cannot emphasize that enough! I even bought a region-free dvd player, just so I could buy the show ahead of the US. LOL! However, being in the states I miss out on all the great behind the scenes clips, and those are the parts of the filming process I enjoy... is seeing things from behind the camera.
I also want to say Thank You! for this wonderful show. I think it's the best show I've seen in awhile, and I'll continue to love it from afair. I can't wait until the new series hits dvd, because I know I'll be buying it! Thanks again!

  • Comment number 78.

Well its monday they're still there lol.

tinapalooza (cool name by the way :-P) fingerless gloves - not really a fashion thing I think they were once upon a time and a lot of the goth kids etc seem to be wearing them nowadays... I wear them in the winter - used to wear em all the time but believe it or not we've actually had a hot summer over here :-S but yeah I'm by no means fashionable lol a jeans and t shirt girl through and through I'm afraid :-)

  • Comment number 79.

Neehee I am if i had the money i would live in Selfriges:) , anyways I know what you mean eagle_eys4, my friend who used to be an emo had them and she gave one me & i wore it, lol.

Actually I have just bought a cardi almost exacty like Annie's but it light brown instead of grey :) -

Ok back to the dolls, - btw that last remark by Russel sounds abit rude :L - but the thing is .. no children would buy them becuse its not exactly a "kids" program .. ; only if the program watchers {or the actors LOL!} would buy them would they be any use... mind you I would buy one and Im 13 ^.^

  • Comment number 80.

I'm not really fashionable either. Though I seem to be a little at the moment. :s People are wearing shirts over tee-shirts at the moment. So I'm in for now. Though I fully intend to continue after everyone else has stopped.:P I only brought them now because they are finally in the shop hehe.

My mum brought a cardigan like Annie's the other day. In grey too... Maybe she's started cosplaying?

  • Comment number 81.

Oh and a lot of adults buy action figures. They collect them rather than play with them. I'm 18 and I've got six on my bookcase. :P It would be nice to have some BH ones too. :)

  • Comment number 82.

You're 13? Oh now I just feel old lol

  • Comment number 83.

Ok so I'm currently the oldest person on the blog...oh i do love being a geek lol

Bet the 6 are doctor who ones aren't they C lol I kinda want a John Barrowman one to be honest :-D bless him though he was more excited about having a toy of himself than Russell lol

  • Comment number 84.

russell... don't you already have a doctor who one?
    not that i'm complaining...
maybe annie could be made using clear plastic underneath to make her look more ghostly?!
and mitchell definately needs sunglasses... maybe eyes that flip between normal and all black? and HAS to have his fingerless gloves

oh, oh... can they speak???? please oh please!!!! but too many quotes to pick from... expecially george's....

and can we have mini models of cups of tea?
and hey why not... lets have a mini flat... normal and george/warewolf wrecked?

is that too much to ask? i'm very excited now!

  • Comment number 85.

    Hey Being Human Bloggers!

The BH Blog Team are currently on set in Bristol for a Being Human shoot (shooting from 8pm until dawn means they can get lots of spooky shots done in the dark...). We were in the make-up truck with Russell and he was raving about your suggestions for his action figure challenge. He particularly liked the idea of talking dolls and he even ran through a few of his lines!

So lots of love to you guys from Russell... he was v.v.impressed :o)

PS - Going to the pub to watch the clip on wifi? (Comment 5)... He was gobsmacked by the BH fan commitment! GO TEAM!

  • Comment number 86.

"and hey why not... lets have a mini flat... normal and george/warewolf wrecked..."

-I was thinking the same thing and love it. Sure it's sort of venturing into the Barbie Dreamhouse area, but I think that's pretty cool.
-For the Annie action figure, it should have an option to record what you think she whispered to Owen. You know something like: "I faked it... and you have a tiny..." or "That pink shirt makes you look like a douche." It should also come with an Owen doll. It doesn't even have to look like Owen. It could be little wind up toy like a penguin with "Owen" written on it. Wind up little Owen and let him wander off the table edge.
    -BeingHumanProduction and Russell- "SQUEE!!!!"

  • Comment number 87.

Eagle: Yep Doctor Who. Well three are torchwood. But you know. lol. Actually I was just thinking. All but one were brought for me. Hehe.

Issydalek: No there's no model of Russell in Doctor Who. I think that's really unfair really. I mean he played a huge role in that episode. And I mean there's some really really crap models that no one will ever want out there. I mean seriously. There's a model of Cassandra without her skin and not of our dear Alonzo Frame? What's with that?

Send our love back to Russell BH prod. =)

  • Comment number 88.

Haha BH prod yes I have to go to the pub to watch the videos because they don't work on my net...going to the pub in the afternoon - what can I say its a wrench but hey thats commitment for you :-P

Any chance of more Russell...please? :-D although ouch night shoots maybe when he's had a kip and plenty of coffee :-)

  • Comment number 89.

Have to say I know very little of the doctor who action figures other than what my 6 year old cousin got for christmas which was like a dalek helmet thing and a figure of the actual doctor and some tardis thing but I think that was a money box lol but yeah Russell should have one...hes in the christmas episode not sure how big a role he'll have this time round but who knows maybe he'll have 2 soon :-) and as much as I love George personally I think I'd have to go for the one in uniform :-D

  • Comment number 90.

Ha! Doctor Who, for some reason I used to have the biggest crush on david & the one before! ... Not as big as the one I have for Aidan Though Obv!

And yes I am 13.. last time I counted :) I would still marry Aidan even though he is double my age. :D, Apparently he has been in my sisters pub !

Also, if you are doing more night scenes then.. ooo la la LOL!
    Tehe :L

But it has been a long time the last time I had a doll or Barbie I loved the horses :) Maybe You can make them but just for the actors. E.g All the Green Day band have little people of themselfs

    Its quite cute :D

  • Comment number 91.

P.s How old are you then Eagle?

Not meanin to be rude beauty is at all ages :)x

  • Comment number 92.

& btw What was Aidan saying " Shut up " about ???

  • Comment number 93.

Oh come on who hasn't got a thing for David Tennant?! :-D he's gorgeous and the doctor is a very sexy character :-)

He was saying shut up to the lorry thing that was making noise while he was trying to talk lol thats why Russell was shouting.

  • Comment number 94.

I can't get over how many pub's have WiFi!!Not mine, but I do live in a village. And Age has nothing to do with anything! I'm 36 and I'm sat here tittering away at all the comments! x

Awwhhh Nooo I missed it !! help ! When is it on BBC iplayer ?? D: !

  • Comment number 97.

Haha about now I think and series catch up :-)

  • Comment number 98.

I hope they do some action figures/dolls esp talking ones. And I wish they'd do a Being Human book even if it's just a collection of the scripts from Series 1.
Oh and all you Aidan fans really need to see the extra video on the Desperate Romantics website where he's talking about playing Rossetti. Who knew the man had to suffer so much for his art?!

  • Comment number 99.

eagle, Have you not noticed that Vampfan never posts on a tuesday evening? she needs that time to recover. lol

I'm just going to sit over here silently appreciating Aidan. :P And comment on the fact that I think he got his clothes off at least once in every episode of that. :P I'm sad it's over though.

  • Comment number 100.

Haha I know bless her - either that or hubby takes advantage of her slightly...well dizzy state lol think he quite likes her watching shows with Aidan in :-P
