New to BH? Watch out, this post contains spoilers from series one...

There are many things about George we love...  The squeaking.  The awkwardness.  The 15 panic attacks a day.  I could go on, but I'll stop there.  The point is, George is a very funny guy with some utterly side-splitting lines.  However, these 'George-isms' have never been compiled into one definitive BH Blog video... until now.  And we need YOU to help us do it.

So therefore, this week's big question is... What's George's funniest moment?

The better your justification and the more passionate your argument, the better the chance of us featuring your favourite George moment in our video, so get forming your arguments now. We'll analyse all the comments over the weekend and come back, next week, with THE definitive video listing George's 'official' funniest moments. Remember, the BH Blog team's decision is final and we are waiting for your suggestions...

Ok very sad but have had this prepared for a while lol...

    Top George moments.

"So far I have a whisk and my mobile phone re charger"

"Who wants some of my chair?!" obviously lol that'll definitely be the winner!

"We're like the worlds gayest ninja's!"

The moment when he steps out of the door in episode 6 after saying goodbye to Mitchell and Annie and goes from crying and being upset to standing up straight and strong a really lovely moment I think.

His and Ninas comedy sex scene as Sinead described it lol.

"Oh my god has everyone taken stupid pills?!" LOVE the way he says that it makes me laugh everytime.

"Smash the granny out of it!" again - hilarious lo

"The Gilbert look" enough said for most people lol (basically the look he gives Gilbert when Gilbert says "is it?" and he just keeps it going while Annie says "He's a little tense") Just a brilliant moment - Russell really is an amazing comic actor he just has the best catalogue of facial expressions and squeaks lol speaking of which...

All of the George squeaks - my particular favourites the one where Nina bites his ear and the beginning of episode 4 "Ive always been...no I'm not...I...and no...no please do not call it getting laid! With Nina its more poetic...oh yeah very funny the werewolf's a romantic!"

  • Comment number 2.

    yeah... what eagle said. :s

    end of blog thread lol.

  • Comment number 3.

Sorry did i nick them all :-S ok well theres your answer Barry...next question :-)

ooh i do like to be efficient lol

  • Comment number 4.

Yes now we've cleared that up we can talk about more important matters like sperkiis new love, or brookes amusing anger on my FB page, or my new t-shirt, or the lastest Twi fan vid, or how hyper I'm going to be tonight after eating my Tangfastics haribos. Bbl.

  • Comment number 5.

"I killed it. With a shoe" obviously.
    And the polo line.

Funny, I always thought Annie's response to "the Gilbert look" was "he's a little bit dense" not tense! But that's probably wrong...

Hmmmm I had a lot of favourite George moments ready to roll out, but a lot of them aren't funny ones- particularly stuff from the end of the series where the character's strength is really developing- are we getting a separate compilation for great moments that aren't funny? Oh go on...

  • Comment number 6.

:-) oh by the way no one ever told me what bbl means?

    ahh i feel old lol

its ok theres plenty more ive thought of but not going to put them - let someone else have a chance :-)

New T shirt? It better not be my ikea one lol im getting round to it...maybe...eventually...and im copyrighting :-D

  • Comment number 7.

there you go :-) told you id left a couple...there are still more though...

oh and have the original opening to episode 4 ready to roll will be putting on youtube shortly although i know its not the same as having it on dvd :-(

  • Comment number 8.

'Annie! Annie! We have to save Mitchell!!' ...

'Why arent you up? Get up? What do I do? So far I have a phone charger and a hairbrush'

'With Nina that night..i felt like i had it in me..the beast i was on the turning point of a change..you know?

Annie: 'George youre making me feel sick...shut-up pleasee..'

  • Comment number 9.

what eagle said with the phone re-charger...according to my mates i am a female version of george. Best compliment ever but i dont change into a werewolf once-twice a month...

  • Comment number 10.

I LOVE the 'Gilbert look'...that is probably the moment which makes me laugh out loud the most out of the whole series :-D and it's just a look, which demonstrates how brilliant Russell it (although, to give it the full effect, you'd really have to include the whole bit - ''Nice to see you again, Gilbert'' ''Is it?''...the look) FAB.

Yup, pretty much what's been said already.

  • Comment number 11.

Best George bits...Pretty much everything eagle said in (1)..but also for me 1) The look on his face when he realises what he has just asked Becca after "You smell like a polo" and by far my best George bit in in the 'Goodbye to Mitchell' scene
. When he says "It wasn't human was it" and Mitchell tells him it was never going to be that and George says "I didn't think so" oh god my eyes are welling up just typing this. Who couldn't love George?

  • Comment number 12.

aqaticdeedee - the george you're making me feel sick? when was that?

Ahh my 99% recall reputation is ruined...lol

Cant believe no ones said the sofa scene yet - i know it was in mitchells but it was both of them...

And when he punches mitchell - absolutely love that - not entirely sure why just a kind of passion i guess - its the first time we really see george with a bit of...umph

  • Comment number 13.

oh and ep 4 opening with alabama 3's on my youtube now...well it should be if its worked

  • Comment number 14.

"I think I actually let out a bit of wee there."
    or something like that.
    correct quote please eagle?....

  • Comment number 15.

the trying of on shirts that will impress Nina scene
the poltergeist bit - "that was a gift!"
and the running about in the woods right at the beginning, trying to find a safe place to transform.

  • Comment number 16.

"If I'd known it was going to be so Andy McNabb, I might not have bothered."

blimey, for a Mitchellette, I sure know a whole lot of George quotes!!

  • Comment number 17.

"i actually let out a little bit of wee there" lol you were more or less right brookesie - cant believe ive become resident quote checker on here as well as the forum now - makes it even worse when i cant remember things :-S

oh and i know it got deleted from the episode but i really loved the happy annie versary scene - we tried to find you a card that said today would have been your wedding day if you hadnt died but have a great day anyway but there wasnt one so we got you this (ok so thats not exact have only watched the deleted scenes a couple of times sorry) but thought it was so lovely and i really think that scene should have been kept!

  • Comment number 18.

lol eagle aint seen the dvd yet- still havent built up the courage!!
back in a bit got to pick up kids from school

  • Comment number 19.

Brooksie (18) me neither, got it yesterday...can't bring myself to watch it. Just gonna have to make do wth re-watching the Josie scenes, life can be tough

  • Comment number 20.

All the ones that I can think of have already been said. Definitely the Polo scene, the let out a bit of wee and the worlds gayest ninjas. personally I love the whole pigeon scene. "I killed it." "You killed it?" "with a shoe". I love Mitchell's expression (but this is about George so I will refrain from going into it. :P But also George's tone when he says "with a shoe". hehe

Eagle, I love the Annie-versary scene. It's so sweet. I can see why they cut it out but it was still a really nice scene.

  • Comment number 21.

Everyone talks about the pigeon/spy scene which I love as well but I also like the bit where he explains (or not) to Owen why there is no furniture in the house....brill....thinking about it I love every time George says anything...I know I am either going to laugh or cry

  • Comment number 22.

"I thought you probably just didn't want to get it all painty!"
    or something like that
and George says something like "yes, that would have made more sense."
    lol lol

  • Comment number 23.

I have to say one of my favourite george moments is actually in the pilot if we could have that? :-D when they go to look at the house the bit with the estate agent - mitchells "hes got this thing about me and him on a sofa...hes hasnt told his parents yet...im way out of your league!" its georges reaction to them all and the "oh the little garden!" lol ive not seen the pilot for months so cant remember exact quotes but i love that scene and think itd be an awful shame to completely forget about the pilot...

  • Comment number 24.

Putting in an early request to the BH Team here....(I ranted on about the Mitchell/Josie thing and got my own way) so here goes... if you don't do anything else on George, please, please, please just four little words "I didn't think so".....then if you ever need anyone to cry for England, I'm your chap!!!

    lots of love

    Vampfan.xxxx

  • Comment number 25.

    I second that emotion.
maybe they will put some moving bits in amongst all the giggles-worth stuff. they could put the Nina/George in bedroom after being scratched bit too -
" you told me you fell through a window "(or sumthin)
    "scratched by a werewolf"

    *yells for vampfan*

  • Comment number 26.

    that should be
    *yay for vampfan*
    sorry!

  • Comment number 27.

My memory is hazy as I haven't seen any eps in a while.
So to join in I thought I'd let you all know my kids favourite bits (they haven't watched it, I just used to give them updates after I'd watched an episode-I do this with a lot of things I've watched that they can't).
My boys laughed hysterically at the 'wee' bit, the chair, the pigeon and the phone charger. They only liked George.

The one bit that had me laughing my head off was the chair line and the fight with Seth and Annie beforehand.

  • Comment number 28.

oh the pilot with the Harry Potter stuff too.

  • Comment number 29.

well we know why you picked the seth fight dont we?
    "wtc is that?" !!
but I agree - George and Annie are well good in that scene. Put it inj BH prod!!
    please

  • Comment number 30.

Yeah that bit is of course brill. Any excuse to hear Seths lines again.

Afternoon brookes. Glad to see you've chilled out a bit.

  • Comment number 31.

lol the wtc is my favourite seth line i think :-)

yeah the harry potter bit was brilliant "i just imagine in hufflepuff they sit around making stuff with safety scissors and glitter..."or something like that :-S

ooh another bit i just remembered another one -

annie "id drink it but im worried i might make a puddle on the chair"
mitchell "beer has the same effect on me - goes right through me!"
george "ive a feeling we'll be hearing that joke a lot from now on..."

  • Comment number 32.

'We're like the world's gayest ninjas' is a defo one

Another one is from ep. 1 when he let out a sqweek on seeing Owen in the house

'I have trouble containing myself', Ahem
On a related note George/Nina scene before full moon, ahem

The scene in the club 'Smash the granny out of it'

Yeah, the 'wee' line is also a must

    'You smell like a polo....'

And all the others I haven't mentioned already mentioned here

(Aww, I wanted his most endearing moments Barry, although some of these do count in that too)

  • Comment number 33.

    Also

'WHO WANTS SOME OF MY CHAIR'

  • Comment number 34.

lol That line is so great. I just wish I had an occasion to use it myself.

This video is going to be very funny, can't wait!

  • Comment number 35.

Regarding the whole Harry Potter thing, i was bored earlier, so i asked what house they would have put me in a hogwarts, and they said that without a doubt i would be in (this is where i was hoping they'd say Ravenclaw or something)...Slytherin!

  • Comment number 36.

all of his best moments have been mentioned, so there's nothing left to write about

  • Comment number 37.

Can't believe we're probably going to have to write about this for a whole week. we've answered it in about 4 hours

  • Comment number 38.

I haven't even watched Harry Potter but I still 'get it' and love the glitter and glue bit.

    Who did you ask iamnotagiftshop?

  • Comment number 39.

my mates, including the wacky flatmate, but she also claims that i am a vampire, so i kinda saw it coming.

  • Comment number 40.

I'd be in Hufflepuff or whatever it is. Anything to spend the day colouring in than do actual work.

I've just re-watched Seth's vid. I was distracted before by the Cullens (still haven't finished that book btw); but now I've watched it again....

What other man could carry off a fur coat? His 'hiss' was actually very impressive, that's tricky to pull off; Twilight couldn't manage it. And when he describes the staking scene he never says 'died'.

    OK back to George.

  • Comment number 41.

i'm not really a fan of the harry potter books or films. But the one with David Tennant's probably the better one

  • Comment number 42.

i'm big into vampire things at the moment, so have watched twilight, and i think that it and Being Human are really good (being human slightly better though), but they are so completely different in some aspects like the whole sun thing and how you kill a vampire

  • Comment number 43.

super (40)...you really got it bad for the Manchester boy haven't you?

  • Comment number 44.

what book haven't you finished (i'm guessing it's from the twilight series...)

  • Comment number 45.

I think that Twi's reasoning about how you make a vampire is slightly more plausible than any other version.
But you know they don't have fangs and they sparkle which is rubbish. I'd at least want fangs if I was going to be a vamp. But then again BH vamps don't have any cool powers....

BH is in a class of it's own and the supernatural element is secondary to the characters and writing.

  • Comment number 46.

i started watching the seth video, then got pre-occupied and never finished it, and i'm currently thinking that i should. But right now i'm listening to music, so it can wait half an hour

  • Comment number 47.

Yeah I do vf. It was hardly a secret though. He is way better than Mitch.

I haven't finished Breaking Dawn. I could have read it in a couple of hours but I'm saving it till I'm really bored this weekend.

  • Comment number 48.

i think twilight is more aimed at teens though, and being human appeals slightly more to the older audience

  • Comment number 49.

i've read like three quarters of breaking dawn, it's good, but it's so flipping long!. I find you can easily skip most of it. I should really get round to finishing it, but i cant be bothered (can always look up the plot on wikipedia)

  • Comment number 50.

You'd think so wouldn't you. But I know people from 14-45 who love the books and film.

What I love about BH is that it doesn't alienate older people. (I'm 27, can't believe I'm calling myself an old person :s )

Twi definitely does exclude older people, the books actually insult anyone over the age of 20.

  • Comment number 51.

OMG, Seth is not better than Mitch. i mean Seth's dead! (dont say Mitch is technically dead because you know what i mean)

  • Comment number 52.

super:: each to his own!!! One woman's Seth is another woman's Mitchell. Same love, different focus!

And here we are on George's page going on about them...

Don't know about you but as much as I love the vampire, George will always have a special place in my heart

  • Comment number 53.

i'm quite a few years younger than you, but some of my older relatives love Being human, but dont find twilight that appealing. i think with twilight, it's more of a soppy love story, and it's a bit weird if an older person fancies Rob Pattinson!

  • Comment number 54.

Mitch is way too try hard. Seth is just cool.

It pains me to say it but obviously I have to acknowledge that he probably did die. No, I can't do it. He didn't die. No one saw him crumble to ash. I'm sticking with it.

  • Comment number 55.

vampfan, we always get distracted and go off topic, does it really surprise you anymore?

  • Comment number 56.

i think they could have made more out of seth, given him some more lines. he did provide some comedy

  • Comment number 57.

and i hate to disappoint you, but i reckon seth did die, (they probably did it off camera to make us think twice about the whole thing!)

  • Comment number 58.

i was watching the pilot the other day. Did anyone else think that the Lauren at the end, looked completely different to the Lauren at the beginning. She also sounded different too (like Bristolian canteen lady when she changed. Well she didnt sound that stupid, but she talked with a different accent)

  • Comment number 59.

giftshop....by now, would get worried if we didn't go off topic!!( I love a good old ramble, don't you ?)

super:: Never gonna convince you that he is just too cool for school, are we?

  • Comment number 60.

Yeah it's a soppy love story but everyone remembers their first love. Mine wasn't too long ago actually.
And Rob Pattinson is 22-23ish isn't he? Why would it be weird if I fancied him. Tbh I have less wrinkles than Rob. He's supposed to be 17 forever but he has frown lines lol.
Anyway, I'm more of a Jasper/Carlisle fan myself.

And George... it goes without saying, he is the heart of the show, best lines and Tovey is the best actor actually.

  • Comment number 61.

jasper does look like he's in pain. it's weird how odd he looks. and i didnt mean it would be weird if you like rob, but if my mum did, then it would definitely be weird.

  • Comment number 62.

    Three moments:

    "Smash the granny"

    The phone recharger/whisk moment

    "Gayest ninjas"

  • Comment number 63.

and it's safe to say that RP does not look 17. you can see his stubble throught the make-up! The vampires in twilight are a tad too pale, they dont fit in at all!

  • Comment number 64.

the "who wants some of my chair" is probably going to be the most popular one i'm guessing, with the whisk and the wrist/hand thing closely behind

  • Comment number 65.

i dont like to single any actors out, i mean i do have my least favourite of the cast, but russell is one of the better ones. i feel he has really adapted to the role (if it's possible to adapt to being a werewolf...)

  • Comment number 66.

I laughed at the 'smash the granny' bit, but I didn't like it or get it.

  • Comment number 67.

i laugh at most things - either because there genuinely funny or so unbelievably stupid. I like to laugh at Cheryl cole's attempts at singing

  • Comment number 68.

Yeah... Vamp we've been waiting for this one!

Personally when George faces Herrick in Mitchell's place, that is my favourite George moment, when he proves just how strong he is emotionally and how much he loves his friends -

"Haven't you worked it out yet. Humanity is about love and sacrifice. This doesn't rob me of my humanity, it proves it."

    Love that bit.

  • Comment number 69.

ok so it's not funny, but it is still brilliant *note to self, read title properly before commenting*

  • Comment number 70.

most of the things i laught at in being human are funny though. It's when i'm forced to watch the likes of My Family that it's fake laughter because its stupid. I dont see the point in my family. and i have just found out their making a tenth series! how long can they drag it out for - it's like High School Musical

  • Comment number 71.

yeah wonder why it says funniest rather than best bit?

  • Comment number 72.

i don't now why but i find it hard to watch the scene where george confronts herrick. i think i feel the pain he's going through and if affects me - badly.

  • Comment number 73.

because i think russells more of a comedy actor - he was in gavin and stacey - and george has more comedy moments than the others do. I wonder what we will have to do for Annie's one. Personally i think annie should have had a slightly bigger role in the series - the only reak episode where she got to shine was episode three, and i feel that we didnt see as much of her as we did mitchell and george

  • Comment number 74.

    hello people how arewe today

youve already said all my fav bits please put the wee line in i almost id that to when he said it i was laughing so much

super twilight books im 25 and my mom is 53 and she loves them so much that she keeps browing them off me to read

and yes rob pattinson is 23 this year so i dont feel any shame in liking him

  • Comment number 75.

Oh! singing:: (Hi) and forgot about "It proves it"....blubbing again!!!

  • Comment number 76.

hello I'm back - kids and hubby all fed and watered and I've escaped to BH.
I've got a magic keyring shaped like the sorting hat on harry potter and when you shake it it tells you what house youre in!!

  • Comment number 77.

the keyring does actually amaze me. where did you get it?

  • Comment number 78.

    brooksie (76) You in Mitchelldor?

  • Comment number 79.

keyring - got it from the warner bros store in bluewater before it shut down. It's fab!
vampfan - if there was such a house I would join Hogwarts tomorrow!

  • Comment number 80.

back in 5 mins got to take daughter number 1 to guides

  • Comment number 81.

Vamp (75) Yeah makes me blub too...

Maybe this is just me but the casual way he lists off the languages he can speak and almost seems embarrassed that his Russian is very basic - well it makes me laugh.

    and the wonderful -

"you've turned us into a hello how are you program..." (I won't type the rest, just in case the MOD's are getting trigger happy!)

  • Comment number 82.

    so would i

  • Comment number 83.

Just thought of another one (with George, this could go on forever).
Coffee morning, when Mitchell is telling him about Vin Diesel and George is standing there in his post-werewolf grubbiness and totally confused "I did not know that" Maybe it's just me but I thought that was fab

  • Comment number 84.

Vamp and Brookesie (78 & 79) the Mitchellette's in Mitchelldor!

  • Comment number 85.

brookes- On my FB I'm doing a poll to see what house you would be in, so go comment.

  • Comment number 86.

Vamp (83) love that bit too and the way he runs out after Mitchell just after that.

  • Comment number 87.

i think mitchelldor will definitely add the the harry potter phenomenon, stuff robert pattinson in hufflepuff (i had to look up what house he was in), we're all in mitchelldor. we'll beat them any day

  • Comment number 88.

wow brooke do you wana sell a keyring id buy it

i want to be in mitchelldor to

sorry for the how are we today just thought i was being nice

  • Comment number 89.

i'm still trying to figure out why my friends would put me in slytherin! just by looking at my previous blog entries. what do you think i should be in?

  • Comment number 90.

your kindness was appreciated. no-one asks me how i am, they just assume that i'm slightly depressed

  • Comment number 91.

i'm going to have to look on e-bay for keyrings now

  • Comment number 92.

I don't know iamnotagiftshop. Since I've never watched HP.
So far in my poll me and my best mate Taff have already figured out how to pass the Hufflepuff course just by using stencils. (OK you won't get the joke unless you could read my FB page but still..)

  • Comment number 93.

super - I'm on my way!

  • Comment number 94.

oh notagiftshop no one asks me either
see if theres to and send one to me (i really want one now)

  • Comment number 95.

    Sorry guys. How is everyone?

  • Comment number 96.

and no no NO to all you would be keyring purchasers. its mine and I'm keeping it!
it looks like a little bout 4" high purple/black sorting hat, got a dice in fluid which you can see in the bottom of the hat. it has all four houses on different sides and also on one side it says "difficult, very difficult" and the last side says "so where shall I put you?"

  • Comment number 97.

just looked and sorry to say Katy, there were none. There were actuall sorting hats, bags, coins, figures - but no keyrings!

  • Comment number 98.

what ouse do you lot think you'd be put into. And by the way brookesie, i do possess voodoo dolls. you might start getting a few headaches...

  • Comment number 99.

it's actually meant to say house, not ouse.

  • Comment number 100.

Arrgh, too many posts to read.

Russell is just such an amazing actor, and every tone, expression and gesture is just so spot on, it is SO hard to think of best moments
