oh come on........ghost town now.....are you seriously trying to make our house the dusty apartment !! 12" vinyl/LP's, going to be looked out asap.
    2" of dust...damn......

    wts.

  • Comment number 4.

Yayyy. Go Geoerge. Get in there. Let a wee bit of the 'beast' take over.
Mmm, that might not be apt.
    sorry :-/
    Jolly well done ;-D

    wts.

  • Comment number 5.

Ahhhh.....great episode... this series is getting better n better. Only 6 episodes......get filming you b*ggers, this is addictive !!

    wts ;-)

  • Comment number 6.

Hey, I could actually watch that video! It didn't scold me for being foreign or anything! Thanks a lot. I absolutely ADORE this show. I was pretty miffed when I found out that I couldn't use BBC's iPlayer because I wasn't in the U.K. but this more than makes up for it!

  • Comment number 7.

Hmm, yeah, I had a feeling about Annie's death ...

And that bathroom really DID get a bit messy, didn't it?

Brilliant episode, as were the other two. I love this programme far too much!

  • Comment number 8.

I'm wondering if this is in perfect continuity with the pilot? I mean, what I understood from the pilot was that Annie had chosen not to proceed with the afterlife, out of fear of what was at the end of the corridor. So the stuff about resolution...
Also, is the tap an arc word?

  • Comment number 9.

Mitchell needs to take Lauren 'under his wing'. Lets face facts....he wants her, she wants him....get a room.......... I'm sure Annie 'n' George wouldn't mind, as long as they kept the noise down.

    wts.

  • Comment number 10.

    Yay :-) very good.

Loved that the relationship between the housemates seems stronger...liked the bits with George, Mitchell and the neighbours and when George and Mitchell were trying to look nonchalant when Annie got back from being with Gilbert.

Gilbert...why did you kill him off? I liked him. Much better character than Lauren who, I'm sorry, just gets more and more irritating each episode. Please kill her off (however you kill vamps off..ooh I wonder how you do it?), she's awful.

Loved the Nina/George thing. Russell and Sinead are def the best actors in it; I can't emphasise enough how fab they are.

Love the unresolved issues/death is a door thing for the ghosts.

My one critisism (apart from Lauren of course) ?..the amount of smoking. I liked the way 'Hex' featured only the evil or possessed characters smoking. But Nina, Mitchell and Gilbert all smoked in this and, bless him, George was the one who asked for ''no smoking''.

Agree with many of the other comments re: making more than 6 episodes but only if Mr Whithouse still feels as enthusiastic. So many successful shows go one, or a lot more, too many to the point where you sense that even the writers and performers are sick of it or have lost the essence and innocence of what made it good to begin with (Mighty Boosh a good example). I'd hate that to happen to Being Human. That said I don't know what I'll do when it finishes!!

  • Comment number 11.

Wow, this show never ceases to amaze me - the writing is absolutely brilliant! I am already looking forward to next week's episode.

Hope there's a second series planned, 6 episodes is way too short. This is easily the best show on TV and I'm sure I won't be the only one who'll miss it when it finishes!

  • Comment number 12.

I guess I should have watched it all the way through before making predictions...But Sperkii, I'd have to disagree with your comment about smoking - Is your anti-smoking belief so weak it can't accept any opposing views?
The truth is, a lot of people enjoy smoking so it's hardly a crime for a fictional character - especially one protrayed as being severely anachronistic - to smoke.

  • Comment number 13.

Khoryos, all of these comments are just opinions. I didn't agree with your critism of the continuity - there would be people who hadn't seen the pilot and there is a good balance, I think, between continuity and starting afresh. And the smoking thing is just my opinion; I wouldn't expect everyone to agree

  • Comment number 14.

Ok, so I have just read back my earlier comment about smoking and - just to clarify - I was not attacking smokers, just smoking. I can see how me saying the evil/possessed characters in Hex smoked could come off as me suggesting people who smoke are such. Not the case. I should explain I work in health and social care, with a focus on public health issues, so I am just more concerned about the public/media image of smoking. Sorry I offended/angered anyone, not my intention.

  • Comment number 15.

I apologise if I seemed confrontational - I just have fairly strong beliefs with regard to personal freedom. I think that people should be free to choose whether to smoke or not - I used to smoke myself, and would still do if I had the spare cash - and as such I disagree with complete absence of positive smoking characters in the mass media. Personally, I place a higher value on quality of life than length, so I'd rather smoke and be happy, fully aware of the consequences.

  • Comment number 16.

And as for continuity - it just bugs me a little because as a plot hook, the sfterlife from the pilot was second to none and I'm a little OCD, especially about my fiction - I like to know how things end.

  • Comment number 17.

Khoryos, frankly I reckon our comments should be removed for being 'off topic' I reckon. Sorry to everyone else.

  • Comment number 18.

    'Oh, you're a dead man...'

Not laughed so much in ages. That sequence was brilliantly scripted, brilliantly acted, all those little facial gestures they both made just cracked me up. More please.

Episode as a whole - great. For me the series really hit its stride with this one. Maybe it's just taken me this long to adjust to the fact this isn't exactly the show I started watching last year, but I'm totally comfortable with the world that's been created and the tone of the show. The balance between comedy, drama and horror is excellent. Thank you and well done to all concerned!

  • Comment number 19.

WOW!!! that was a powerful episode!!!
it had everything-humour,sadness,trepidation and soooooo much more! it was amazing!! loved it! but can't bear thoughtof only 3 more episodes!!! noooo!! they are soo good!!and loved the way the characters are developing further- they are so human as well u can actually believe this unlike some fantasy shows which are just laughable!! looking forward to next weeks!!!

  • Comment number 20.

I'm going to be honest, I'm not overly keen on the Annie outcome. It would be nice to have at least one tragic heroine that wasn't offed in that particular way. Although they do reckon that's usually the number one suspect in suspicious deaths, so I suppose it's just...realistic?

Having said that (and it was hard to say, I ruddy love this show) this was the best episode yet, particularly for the supporting actors. Gilbert was fantastic, Nina has me in stitches the moment she comes on screen, and I'm finally starting to 'get' Lauren. Seth is tacky and evil and I love to hate him; him and his slimy, smug grin (Dear Mitchell, HIT. HIM. DO IT FOR THE NATION IF NOT FOR YOURSELF).

I could say something complimentary about the main cast, here, but it's gotten to the point that if I allow myself to start, I have serious trouble stopping.

  • Comment number 21.

yet again this program just gets better and better
Russell tovey is great as always and its so good to see the george got to spit the dog at last.

i know this is not the place to post what iam about to say but after 42 years i think its time to get somthing off my chest.

For as long as i can remember i have wanter to act.

Its a dream of mine that i know i will never get as my dyslexia always holds me back.

So thats the point in holding on to a dream after 42 years.

All i ever wanted is my chance to shine.

Being Humam together with the skill of Russell tovey has given me my dream back.

Russell Tover is to me the greatest actor of his age.

any way in one way we are both the same.

  • Comment number 22.

I loved George's proposal for rules about house guests.

  • Comment number 23.

I was surprised by the twist with O. I thought he was a nice guy :-o
These twists keep coming in each ep and I still can't predict what they will be, good writing.
So what can our three do next? They're hoping to have normal routines, start out with best of intentions eg M wanted to help L, but still the 'nature' (or however we define it) keeps interrupting :-o Poor things, dare we hope for them?
I have qus, as usual ;-)
First query; Is the house 'special' too? since all three characters started living (I know this term isn't quite true for A!) together there it seems to be as much important part about coping as anything else our three are trying for managing. So they want to protect the house too.
I wanted to know what the reason is behind choice of wallpaper for G's room, got to be 'offputting' for him and N to see gnomes on the walls???
Another query does the writer want each character - M, A, and G - to build-up connections with other characters sort of their guides as T was for G last ep and Gi was for A this ep. I know M is supposed to be old but as we can see it doesn't necessarily mean he'll know everything there is to know on his 'condition' (how to cope) and we're aware how A and G are learning as they go along for their states/'conditions'. My fave scene for this particular ep? The two boys when A was returning to the house; I'd love to know if the actors bring input to the scenes or dialogue during filming because the switch with glasses between G and M felt very 'in the moment' there for me 8-)
I really appreciate the chance to rewatch eps as well, I don't always understand everything which happens or is said first time viewing so watching again helps me to follow the story.
I'm rec'g BH to people I know online, I said they should at least watch ep1 or the pilot and try it. The humour could certainly appeal if nothing else. The best attraction of BH as a TV show IMO is the fact the characters' struggling through life can be related to eg G's anxiety cooking a meal for 'lady friend' it's not strictly Sci-Fi (you know how people have assumption on the genre) just because one is a ghost, one is a wampire, and one is a werewolf. The 'condition's are almost secondary to what the characters are like anyway. I probably didn't word that well enough, hopefully people understand what I mean!
I'm eagerly awaiting next ep find out what can our three try next?

  • Comment number 24.

Just occurred to me..since George and Nina's, ahem, 'moment' was so spontaneous, would they have thought about being careful?! And, if not, can Nina get pregnant by George. And, if so, what happens when a werewolf has a baby with a human? Hmmmm

  • Comment number 25.

wow, i love this series, i like the sense of mischief and menace that appears at every turn.

I love the characters, and the excellent writing which has allowed me to gain an understanding of each of them in such a short space of time.

great writing + great acting = excellent TV!!!

this episode was amazing and i'm so proud that its a british production - well done to all involved!

p.s. please, please, please can we have DVDs available to buy at the end of this?!?

  • Comment number 26.

oh and forgot to add.....good job on song choice too, i've got soooo many albums to buy now!

  • Comment number 27.

    WOW!!!!
    Better and better!
I tried watching it with a hangover this morning after too much beer last night. No joy. Head banging fit to burst!
    This evening though....fantastic episode 3.
Does anybody else think the 'he's coming..tick tock' person the other Vampires are waiting for is Mitchell. Just a thought!?

  • Comment number 28.

One more thing...does anybody else think that their house is an old pub. If it ain't it should be!

  • Comment number 29.

loving the series! mitchell is hot! this has to be the best "new" series ive seen in a long long time, i will be following the show religiously! episode three was great, cant wait for the next one!
    xxxxxxx

  • Comment number 30.

    Another excellent episode!
No surprises - I thought that it was always on the cards for Owen to have pushed Annie.
I look forward to Episode 4. Just wish there were more than six!!!

  • Comment number 31.

I'm trying to get as many people on board this bandwaggon NOW via Facebook...no takers...none!I'm in their face at work cajoling, urging, prodding and suggesting...planks, all of them.
    Their loss.
The episodes go by so quickly and the week in between takes for ever.

  • Comment number 32.

Fantasic episode guy's!, well done :)

  • Comment number 33.

I have two friends now watching, and recruiting over the Atlantic with BBCAmerica due to air BH, should bring a few more. As I suspected the humour draws people in 8-)
If I can figure out how to 'screen cap' from the eps I'm going to make BH wallpapers, my fave character is G so he'll be my focus in wallpapers.

  • Comment number 34.

    Hiii.....
just wondering how you do that full eyes affect for mitvchell and lauren when they are like feeding or something :)
