Early next week, there will be a change to how you leave comments on this blog. We're upgrading our current registration system to a new and improved one. When you sign in to the new system, you will be prompted to upgrade your existing account, and you should be able to do that with a minimum of fuss.

The only thing to mention is that if you have more than one BBC membership registered to one email address, make sure you upgrade your favourite one. More details on this can be found on the BBC Internet Blog. Please leave comments below if you have any problems, or email if you get really stuck.

Hi Heres question for Kate. Yesterday we visited Slimbridge. There we saw a family of mallard ducklings they were really cute but very small and young. Surely it is very late in the season for them what are their chances of survival........
    Love the show. Happy Halloween

Hello - We have recently discovered some very cute but unwanted house guests (mice) living in the attic (luckily not in the house) when we went to retrieve some things. A fair bit of damage has been done to our belongings. How can you stop them coming in? We have a plug in pest deterrent(useless) - they walk right by it. We have 3 humane traps and have released 7 mice 3 miles away but want to know what we can do as the catching and releasing is becoming tiring and we want to move our stuff back in the attic. They have just moved in - never been a problem before. We wouldn't dream of using mouse traps or poison but need a definite solution to avoid house fires etc. We live in the countryside and so they have lots of readily available food from trees etc, and there are no visible access areas from outside - our house is semi detached...please help. Happy Halloween!

Hi just seen your item about the golf balls. I live in Bristol and one evening we had a chipping competition in the back garden. We left all the gear , including 6 balls out in the garden overnight. Early the next morning I was amazed to see a fox come down ther garden and take away each of the golf balls in turn! To prove the point I left out more golf balls and the fox came again the following morning and took those away one by one. Ther's a store of 12 of my golf balls somwhere close in north Bristol!!
