Testing the new 5 live homepage
We've started testing a new homepage for 5 live, and we want you let us know what you think.
The launch is part of a wider BBC Radio online project that will see all networks switch to a new homepage design permanently later in the year. But while there will be a common theme across all stations, the distinctiveness of each – and especially 5 live – should still shine.
The new look is designed to help you find content more easily. One new feature is the option to ‘Favourite’ a clip or programme, dropping it in to a personalised folder which you can access when logged in to your BBC ID on a computer, on mobile or on a tablet. This allows you to quickly listen to or watch your favourites programmes and clips wherever you may be.
More detailed information about the new look and the overall strategy can be found on the BBC Radio Welcome Page, as well as blog posts by Chris Kimber, executive product manager for the Radio and Music Product and who's led this project, and Mark Friend, controller of BBC Audio & Music Interactive.
Of course this is a beta test, and so what you see now is likely to change when it comes to full launch. We’d like you to let us know what you think, and help us steer the product towards the optimum online radio experience for you.
You can let us know what you think by clicking the 'Feedback' tab on the side of the new page, in the comments section at the bottom of this blog, on email at firstname.lastname@example.org or even via Twitter using the #bbcradiobeta hashtag.
We look forward to hearing what you think!
