My first memory of watching Trevor Nelson on the TV was him interviewing Mary J Blige in the back of some swanky car and quite literally breaking it down. I remember thinking.. wow! Yesterday, we dedicated an entire day to Mary J Blige here on 1X and what a pleasure it was.

Here's what happend when old chums, Trev & Mary hungout...

Leeds was frocking marvellous.. It's interesting to see how trends translate differently depending on where you are around the country.

Yesterday I was filming for a new series of the 'Frock Me' in Leeds and met loadsa leading ladies & gents.

I also met Letitia who has big time fashion blog with hits that work out at about 2 million a year... To check out her blog click here... She was impressed by the edginess and dedication...

glasto08edit.jpg"BRING RAIN COME!" Glastonbury 2008.

Some say there are way tooooo many festivals in the country these days. Others like me begin to salivate with excitement!

A festival is no longer a fixed term, spending five or so days in a yurt and singing songs around a fire is a cracking and traditional example yet now a day in a city park can also count as a festy experience (perfect the likes of Glasto virgin Trevor Nelson!).

For those that need easing in gently...........

R1 Big Weekend
May 22nd & 23rd 2010

The first to kick off a summer of rocking and rolling, headliners still to be confirmed (I've heard rumours around the office and they are BIG!!!)...

The best thing about R1 Big weekend is not only that live music abundant or that all the 1xtra and R1 DJ's running around too.... it's FREE!!!!

Where: It's happening in Bangor - North Wales... details to come on this very show, in coming weeks as to how get your tickets.

Florence & the machine at R1 Big weekend 2009.

For those who seek something legendary...

JUNE 23rd - 27th 2010

I can honestly, hand on heart tell you that if you love music, you'll find a way to enjoy Glasto. It's flipping huge for starters, a sea of tents and happenings that is apparently as big as the city of Bath! Whether you want to learn circus skills drink herbal teas and discuss how to save the planet or simply get mashed and watch some gigantic headliners then it's got it all.

Rumours include Stevie Wonder, Kanye West & U2 have confirmed.

It all happens in the Eavis' family's garden in Somerset this year it's in it's 40th anniversary., tickets are already sold out - BUT cancelled tickets will be release for sale on Sunday 11th April.

My best Glasto memory: Can't decide whether it was being a backing dancer to Kate Nash dressed as a skeleton on the pyramid stage or watching Jay Z tear it up on the same stage the next evening! Or stumbling across a naked sauna tent.

For those looking for an alternative to Glastonbury

Hard rock Calling
JUNE 25th to 27th June (same weekend as Glasto)...

I've never been before. But this years confirmed line-up looks pretty flipping iconic. Especially if you're afraid of muddy hippies... Stevie's going to be celebrating his 60th birthday there on the Saturday with Jamiroquai, James Morrison and Corinne Bailey Rae.

It's all happening in Hyde Park - Pre sale tickets go in sale in the next half hour...

Here are some more to choose from too (click on links for more details!):

Wireless is going to be BIG this year! Jay Z, Mr Hudson, et all.
T in the Park - One word : Eminem.
Secret Garden Party: Bohemian dream.
Latitude - For the hi brow folk that like theatre & reading.
Bestival: The finale of the season, go to get fancily dressed and wasted. Click here for an example of the type of outfits too expect!

Oh & if you're under 18 the Underage festival is extraordinary! You're not even allowed in if you're abouve 18 & the line up is wicked!

What albums did you listen to relentlessly throughout your teens? For me it was the Erykah Badu albums, dreaming distantly of one day being a free thinking earth mother too... Last Wednesday, it may have been my week off, but when I was asked to host the industry album playback for Erykahs's new album - New Amerykah part 2, I didn't quite know what to do with myself. She arrived in a top hat and played out her wickedly dreamy new album. I spoke to her and she was everything that I thought she's be...

To listen to what the new album means to her,  working with the late J Dilla, what style means to her and find out who's her female icon,  please click here and fast forward too 1:45.35

P.S Check the wallpaper in the room, she loved it and said she was gonna copy it for her house!

Day 4 - The Finale and leaderboard

Trevor Nelson Trevor Nelson | 13:27 UK time, Thursday, 18 March 2010

It all ended today - the last of our cycle challenges for Sport Relief. Tinchy came in and was still in holiday mode, he was sloooow. Then it was the turn of our newsreader, Dan Whitworth. Now Dan was rapid, he did it whilst reading the entertainment news, and it was hilarious. Apart from our producer, Raeph, not re-starting the bike! Dan didnt even get onto the leaderboard, he was gutted (I was secretly happy cos he was pedalling like a demon and he would have won). Then it was my turn! Check it out, I was joint second with Ms Dynamite. Dont forget to download Seani B's Training Mini Mix

Sport Relief Challenge - Day 3 - Nancy Lam & Treble T

Trevor Nelson Trevor Nelson | 13:12 UK time, Wednesday, 17 March 2010

Today on the show Treble T from Rampage and Nancy Lam took part in my cycle Challenge for Sport Relief. Treble T is now leading after completing 0.47km in the 90 seconds via cheating! Nancy Lam completed 0.25km. Although Nancy covered the least distance she was the most entertaining by FAR! But with Tinchy Stryder and myself still to follow i doubt he'll stay at the top for long!

Sport Relief Challenge - Day 2 - Helen Skelton

Trevor Nelson Trevor Nelson | 10:33 UK time, Tuesday, 16 March 2010

Skelton.JPGToday I was joined by Blue Peter Presenter Helen Skelton, she was the first woman ever to Kayak 2100 miles of the Amazon River in Brazil. She may have come dressed pretty in pink but this is one determined female and I was definitely expecting her to beat the standard set by Ms Dynamite yesterday. Some how cycling whilst answering questions seemed to get the better of Helen and she managed a respectable 0.40km and now is 2nd on my Cycle challenge leader board.

Remember you can still download Seani B's ultimate training mix to get you ready for your Sport Relief run on Sunday!!

Sport Relief Challenge - Day 1 - Ms Dynamite

Trevor Nelson Trevor Nelson | 11:22 UK time, Monday, 15 March 2010

Dynamite.JPGIn our bid to raise awareness for Sport Relief all this week on the 1Xtra Breakfast Show I'll be having celebrities join me on the show to take part in our very own 90 second cycle challenge. Today Ms Dynamite joined us to set the standard to the rest to beat.

If you're running for Sport Relief this Sunday download Seani B's ultimate training mix to keep your motivation up! "
