When will the Conservatives realise that scoring points off Labour will lose rather than win votes especially when their issues are doing the Country a disservice in the process.

With the Darwin Exhibit opening at the Natural History Museum in two weeks, and the movie Creation in four weeks time, surely its time to reignite the debate about why atheists and humanists are being discriminated against by not being represented on Thought For The Day?

I always drift off during the weather forcast then realise I have missed the forcast for my area. I think a dedicated sound for each area would help, eg. a cymbal for the east or a honk for the west.

We seem to have a quango to interfere with every aspect of our lives ,

I'm outraged that Peter Jefferson has been sacked by Radio 4 for one slip of the tongue (OK it was a fairly rude word but one that can't possibly shock Radio 4 listeners) after 45 years service. Apparently there were only two complaints and people who complain about something like that haven't enough to worry about. I hope PM and iPM listeners are going to complain about the sacking.

As a long distance commuter, I frequently encounter traffic incidents, ranging from relatively minor to fatal collisons which bring congestion and chaos to the traffic system. Most if not all of them invariably involve a lorry or HGV. In fact, I was rear-ended by one earlier this year.

The question I have and would be keen to see some serious investigation done, is why this is the case? Are there too many lorries and HGV's on the roads? Should we transport more freight by rail? Are hauliers too powerful, enabling them to operate with impunity and employing sub-standard drivers? Personally I would like to see 50% of lorries and HGV's off the roads and the remaining driven by degree-qualified drivers.

So the rules arround banking are changing from 1st November. What a fantastic oppertunity for banks to cut savings rates and blame sombody else! Look at this link to see how Sainsbury's bank have slashed their interest rates by 80% for those saving less than £5000

Not good news for those with modest savings.
